FOURTH GRADE
Warnervale vs Lisarow at Tunkawallin Oval.
Day 1 - Warnervale 4/98 (32 overs) Rain Stopped Play
Warnervale batting first opened with David "The Pres" Clune (38) and Andy"Bacchus" Kent (8). The openers put on 41 at a good rate, with the fall of the first wicket, Andy was replaced by Dave"Power" Brauer (24 not out) who is playing a top captain's innings. When Cluney got out Pete"Woody" Smith (6) joined Brauer and at the fall of Peter's wicket Scott"Scotto" Dady (0) came in. Dave Brauer was then joined by Chris"Yet to be named" Feltis (12 not out) and these two players got Warnervale safely to the tea break.
Rain then took over and no play was possible.
The game resumes next week, with a shared overs game.
GO THE CATS!!!!!!!
Warnervale holds its nerve for 5 run win
Day 2 - Warnervale 193 all out defeated Lisarow 188 all out by 5 runs
Resuming at 4/98 and having only another 24 overs to bat. Warnervale looked at 200 as a reasonable total. Dave Brauer (39) and Chris Feltis (19) made steady progress against some very tight bowling and after 9 overs Warnervale had added only 14 runs. When Chris Feltis was out David Hatcher (19) soon got the score board moving with a couple of boundaries, with Dave Brauer out Ryan Tregidgo took over and thumped a brilliant (31) in only 8 overs, Adam Rowe (15) joined Tidg and these two put on 30 in three overs to take Warnervale closer to the 200 run target, Luke Knight (0) out off the last ball and Pete Gafa (0 not out) were our last batsmen. Warnervale 193.
Our bowling attack then came to the fore with captain Dave Brauer set attacking fields all innings, allowing Lisarow plenty of scoring opportunities if they took the risks. Chris Feltis (2/31) and Ryan Tregidgo (1/56) opened the bowling with Chris getting the two initial break throughs, Ryan bowled without luck in his first spell, but was eventually rewarded with an excellent caught and bowled later in the day when the ball was like soap.
Luke Knight was the outstanding bowler taking 4 for 46, Luke tore the heart out of the Lisarow middle order clean bowling three of them, and in difficult rainy conditions. Well bowled Luke. Adam Rowe also did a fantastic job, bowling 11 unchanged overs in heavy rain at times, his reward was to bowl the Lisarow captain to win the match with only five runs needed after his previous delivery was hit for six, what a delivery and still 14 overs remaining.
GO THE CATS!!!!!!
FIFTH GRADE
Warnervale vs Gosford/Mountains at Carrington Oval
Day 1 - Gosford/Mountains 7/267 (80 overs)
Gosford -Mountains have set Warnervale a big total to chase next week. Paul"The Big Big Man" Wise 2/19 and Dale"Jesus" Dezius 2/28 were the pick of the bowlers. Greg"I was The Big Man" Knight, David"The Qual" Blackaby and Calo "Monte" Musemeci with one wicket each were also rewarded for their efforts. Drizzling rain was not enough to stop play, but effected the ball, and Warnervale were disadvantaged in this regard. However, it will be a tremendous effort for the CATS to chase a big total.
GOOD LUCK FELLAS!!!!!!
Heard about your fall Knighty hope ur ok.
Warnervale manage unlikely win, when lightning strikes
Day 2 - Gosford/Mountains 7/267 lost to Warnervale 8/190 on run rate. (Game reduced to 56 overs each)
How do you win a match after being 4/31 chasing 277 for victory you ask? Lightning, that's how! A severe thunderstorm made the teams leave the field and the game was reduced to a shared overs contest. Warnervale then had a target score of 189 to win the match of 56 overs.
Having lost Dave"The Qual" Blackaby (1), Nathan Bell (7), and Cody Walker (0) prior to the stoppage in play. Warnervale were in trouble at 4/31, revised total or not. With Ahamad Ramay (2) and Gary"Fuji" Clark (8) not scoring many Warnervale were now in huge trouble, but Greg"The Big Man" Knight (23) was playing a solid cautious innings and looking for a partner.
So, cometh the hour cometh that man, Dale "Jesus" Dezius (55) again, who led the way with a divine knock and with the help of Greg and James "Jamie" Peacock (14) Warnervale started to rebuild its innings and we looked a slim chance of winning. Then at last the real saviours turned up in the "two wise men" well almost, Geoff Peebles (29 no) who looks like one and Paul" The Huge Man" Wise (35no), who is one, took Warnervale to an unlikely victory.
GO THE CATS!!!!!!

Footnote: This victory kept intact Warnervale's record of each team winning its first match in a new grade or competition. 7th and 8th grade last year, 4th and 5th two day competition and C and D grade one day competition this year. Trivial but important !!!!!!!
Round Two
FOURTH GRADE
WARNERVALE DOMINATE ON DAY ONE
Mountains/Gosford 74 all out vs Warnervale 3/163
Warnervale captain David"The Power" Brauer won the toss and asked Mountains/Gosford to bat first.
Luke"Cory" Knight (1/18) was given the new ball, after his good bowling in the first game, and he had an immediate reward bowling one of the openers, with an outswinger (Yes folks Luke, has a weapon). Ryan"Tidg" Tregigdo (1/20) opened at the other end and both bowlers bowled better than their figures appear.
When Chris"Yet to named" Feltis (3/10) and Adam"Rowy" Rowe were (3/19) were brought into the attack, Mountains/Gosford were put too a real test and the bowlers were outstanding. Chris and Adam bowled a tight line and were rewarded accordingly.
Mountains/Gosford were 4/47 at drinks after 20 overs, but were all out in the 29th over for 74. Loosing 6/34 in 9 overs after drinks with Pete"I'm your man" Gafa (2/0) taking the last two wickets.
Once again through the brilliant keeping of Andy"Bacchus"Kent and the brilliant catching in the field. Warnervale dominated day one.
Warnervale had 51 over to face and batted beautifully. Openers Paul"Centurion" Hockley (21) and Andrew Kent (81 no) got Warnervale off to the perfect start, Dave Brauer (26) again batted well, with only Pete Gafa (5) missing out. Pete "Woody" Smith (27no) then showed his true ability, batting with Andy till stumps.
Warnervale have a first innings win, going for an outright result.
GO THE CATS!!!!!!
CATS TAKE FIRST INNINGS POINTS ONLY
Day 2 - Mountains/Gosford 74 and 4/159 lost to Warnervale 6 dec 230 on 1st innings
Fourths were looking for an outright win and it looked on the cards early in Mountains/Gosford second innings, but they consolidated and were content to see the day out.
Resuming at 3/163 Andrew"Bacchus" Kent (88) and Peter"Woody" Smith (31) were settling in well but when both batsmen were out within minutes of each other and Ryan"Tidg" Tregidgo (1) was brillantly caught and bowled the big lead we were looking for was in jeopardy. However, Chris"DBT" Feltis (35 not out) and Adam"Rowy" Rowe (20 not out) smashed the bowling to all parts of the ground and that allowed captain Dave"The Power" Brauer to declare at 6/230 leaving 67 overs to be bowled.
Mountains/Gosford were in trouble straight away, Chris Feltis (1/31) and Adam Rowe (2/31) had three wickets in the first seven overs and an outright win was on offering, but the Mountains/Gosford team dug in and a 90 run partnership saved them from an outrighht loss. Ryan Tregidgo (1/17) bowled on a crook thigh muscle and was rewarded with a wicket late in the day.

FIFTH GRADE
Day 1 - WARNERVALE IN FOR A CLOSE GAME
Warnervale 232 allout vs Narara 1/38
Dale"Jesus" Dezius won the toss and batted first and his decision was justified as Warnervale put on 70 for the first wicket. Gary"Fuji" Clark (10) and Dave" Gumboots" Blackaby" (52) got the Cats off to a flyer, and with Greg"Big Man" Knight scoring (55) Warnervale were well placed. Jamie Peacock (0) got a jaffa, and Cody Walker (22) showed some form with the bat to settle things down. Warnervale's run rate slowed as they lost several wickets Paul"Huge Man" Wise (0), Ahmad Ramay (15) and Matt Craig (0). It was left to Rob"Check out my new boxers" Gorton (16), Dale Dezius (14) and Geoff"Don't call me wise" Pebbles (18no) to get Warnervale to a respectable score of 232.
Narara only had 4 overs too face to end the day and they smashed it to all parts, Dave Blackaby (1/14) the successful bowler.
This is the makings of a great game.
GO THE CATS!!!!!!!
Day 2 - WILDCATS GALLANT IN DEFEAT
Warnervale 232 lost to Narara 7/245 by 3 wickets.
A good start to the day saw Blackers "Wildcats Champion" show some form in the bowling and fielding departments. Two smart catches off Greg"Big Man" Knights (2/65) bowling and taking three more wickets himself saw Dave finish with (4/70), great effort big fella. But Warnervale were having trouble stopping the runs from flowing freely. Paul"Huge Man" Wise (1/48) was the other wicket taker but it wasn't enough as Narara chased down the runs in only 54 overs.
At times the game was going our way but Narara just packed to many guns.

4th Grade Day One
WARNERVALE BRAVE IN THE FIELD
Terrigal all out 200 vs Warnervale 1/28
Terrigal won the toss and decided to bat, which meant that Warnervale were going to have to do it tough in the field. Down our two opening bowlers Luke and Chris who have been doing so well, and one player short in the field, the Cats put up a brave effort.
Ryan "Tidg" Tregidgo (2/67) off 25 unchanged overs and Adam "Rowy" Rowe (6/73) off 28.5 overs were outstanding, well bowled guys. Again a shower of rain did us no favours and the ball was effected, which meant the boys were disadvantaged even further. Pete "I'm the Man" Gafa (1/39) found it hard to control the wet ball, but did well to pick up a wicket and Pete was again seen to advantage in the field involved in the run out of Terrigal's last batsmen.
Warnervale in reply were 1/28 with Andrew "Bacchus" Kent out for 4.
4th Grade Day Two
WARNERVALE JUST FALL SHORT OF VICTORY
Terrigal 200 defeated Warnervale all out 198 by 2 runs.
Warnervale went oh so close to winning this match, when most things went against them and our champion batsmen Paul Hockley fell one short of another century.
Chasing 201 for victory, Warnervale lost nightwatchman Gary "Fuji" Clark (2) early, but then, that solid combination of Dale "Jesus" Dezius (20) and Paul" Centurion" Hockley (99) steady the innings and set Warnervale up for victory. Dave"The Power"Brauer (14), Pete "Woody" Smith (11) were out before and Warnervale were 5/108 at the break.
Could someone stay with Hockers to get us home????
Scott"Scotto" Dady (3) and "Rowy" (4) both fell quickly. "Tidg" (15) got his runs quickly a partnership and again the Cat's spirit soared. When "Tidg" was dismissed in came "Gaf" (16 not out), Pete and Hockers had biuld a partnership and were set to seal a win when Hockers was out for 99, the first player to be out on that score. Pete was joined by Rob"I'm not related"Gorton (0) and unfortunately that win, that was so close was just too far away.
Well played guys, next week is another game!

Round Four

5th Grade
WARNERVALE JUST FALL SHORT IN RUN CHASE
Terrigal 221 defeated Warnervale 208 by 13 runs.
Day One
Warnervale won the toss on day one of the game and decided to bowl.
David"Booney" Hatcher (1/21) making a rare appearance in the two day format, opened the bowling with Adam"Rowey" Rowe (2/82). Dave got Warnervale off to the right start taking an early wicket, but that was all Warnervale could manage by the drinks break, and Terrigal were looking ominous at 1/80 off 20 overs.
The drinks break however didn't do Terrigal any good and did Pete"I'm the Man" Gafa (6/69) the world of good. Pete carved through the Terrigal middle order and by tea Terrigal had slumped to 6 for 120.
Terrigal then slowly built a score they hoped to defend. Greg"Big Man" Knight (1/14), Phil Creswick (0/15) and Paul"Huge Man" Wise (0/13) all bowled well and Terrigal set Warnervale 222 as a victory target.
Warnervale faced nine overs late in the day and were 0/7 at stumps.
Day Two
Resuming at 0/7 Paul"Centurion" Hockley (7) and Andy"Bacchus"Kent (21) were quickly followed back in the pavilion soon to be followed by Greg"Big Man" Knight (12) and Gary"Fuji" Clark (0). Warnervale were struggling at 4 for 45.
Adam Rowe (36) and Dave Hatcher (74) then put Warnervale in the box seat with a whirlwind 103 run partnership and at drinks, Warnervale were 4/102 off 29 overs.
After drinks Rowey got out when the score was 159, and Dave Hatcher was out two balls later on the same score. Warnervale 6 for 159.
Rob Gorton (0), Pete Gafa (1) and Geoff Pebbles (0) all fell cheaply and the game looked gone at 9/168.
But in true Warnervale spirit Paul Wise (12 not out) and Phil Creswick (35) almost stole the game. Phil hitting three sixes at one stage too stun the Terrigal bowlers and grab victory.
In the end though Warnervale fell just short of victory in a thrilling game.

Finals Week 1
WARNERVALE BOWL OVER TOUKLEY IN CLOSE GAME
Warnervale 153 all out defeated Toukley 125 all out by 28 runs.
[ Scorecard ]
Day One
Dave"The Power" Brauer won the toss and elected to bat first against Toukley at Pat Morley Oval.
Paul"Centurion"Hockley (2) and Dale"Jesus"Dezius (4)opened the batting for Warnervale, but were not able to get going. Hockers caught behind and Dale out LBW were back in the sheds in no time. Chris"I'm your man"Sammut (26)and Chris"DBT(Don't bowl there)"Feltis (20) steadied the innings and had a nice partnership building, until "DBT" Feltis was dismissed run out, but seemingly with some doubt (you need to have the ball in your hands). Andrew"Bacchus"Kent was out for a duck and Toukley were on a role. Dave"Booney"Hatcher(26) and Chris steadied again until Chris Sammut was out caught. This brought captain Dave"The Power"Brauer (26) to the wicket and along with Hatch again Warnervale steadied.
Toukley however would not give anything away, and another wicket this time "Booney" Hatcher, saw Pete"Woody"Smith(15) come to the crease. Warnervale couldn't get a big partnership going at any time, with Brauer playing a great captains knock, we couldn't stay with him and with Woody's dismissal, Ryan"Didge"Tregidgo (15) came to the crease, and again runs flowed but again we lost another wicket this time"Didge". "The Power" Brauer was the last man out, leaving Adam"Rowey"Rowe not out 1.
Luke"Corey" Knight unfortunately couldn't get to the ground from work so Warnervale batted one short.
Warnervale 153 all out. Was it enough????
Toukley had 16 anxious overs to face before stumps and Warnervale had 16 overs to swing the game firmly in its favour. Chris"DBT" Feltis and Adam"Rowey"Rowe opened the bowling. Tight accurate bowling tied the Toukley batsmen down and soon Toukley had the prized scalp of Chris Nakhoul (2) the 4th grade player of the year, brilliantly caught at slip by Hockers off Rowey. More steady overs and few runs built the pressure and again Rowey struck with an LBW decision and then in his final over another smart catch this time by Corey"I love my footy" Whybourn, saw Rowey send the other opener back. Toukley 3 for 23. Rowey 3 for 6 off 8 overs.
Day Two
Warnervale started where they left off the day before.
Luke"Corey' Knight (1 for 21)started bowling with Rowey and again the pressure was on every over. The pressure finally told, a brilliant throw by Luke Knight caught the Toukley batsmen well short of his crease, and then another great catch by Whybourn off Luke Knight's bowling saw Toukley slump to 5 for 28. A small dangerous partnership loomed, a missed run out and a difficult chance off Dave"Booney" Hatcher (0 for 20) allowed 34 runs to be scored quickly, but with a change of bowler, Chris Sammut (2 for 20) delivered the blow, bowling the Toukley captain. Leaving Toukley 6 for 52 at the drinks break. Warnervale seemed in control, but another partnership for Toukley slowly took the score to 87 when Sammut struck again getting rid of Toukley's danger man Mark Thomas (44) caught by Dave Brauer at mid wicket.
Dave"The Power"Brauer threw the ball to "Didge" Tregidgo ( 1 for 13 ) as Toukley's young guns were left to get the runs. Another partnership was brewing for Toukley, and the score had reached 105 thanks to the batting of Anthony Vonuvonu (32 not out), when "Didge" bowled a beautiful outswinger which took the furniture and Toukley were 7/105.
Warnervale were closing in on a victory, but the last three batsmen hung in there. Finally Chris"DBT"Feltis (1 for 24) knocked over the left hander who found Chris's pace overwhelming, and Rowey rightfully gave Toukley their final rites, bowling the last man for a duck.
Rowey brilliantly bowled 20 overs 10 maidens 4 for 26.

Finals Week 2
WARNERVALE BOWL BRILLIANTLY TO WIN DRAMATIC FINAL
Warnervale 104 all out & 3/49 defeated
Mountains/Gosford 85, by 19 runs.
Day One
Winning the toss and batting first Warnervale knew they had to bat well against a Mountains/Gosford side that prides itself on their tight bowling. Right from the beginning it was obvious the boys from Mountains/Gosford had brought their A game.
Warnervale captain Dave "Bulldog" Brauer asked the two elder statesmen of the team to open, I refer to Paul"Centurion"Hockley (6) and Dale"Jesus"Dezius (3) it wasn't long however before Warnervale were in trouble. Hockers gone LBW was soon followed by Chris"I'm your man" Sammut (6) caught behind and another wicket was lost within an hour of play when Dale's furniture was rather badly rearranged. Chris "DBT" (Don't Bowl There) Feltis (51) was the only batsmen showing resistance and was the stand out batsmen on the day. Andrew"Bacchus"Kent (5) came and went and it was now that Warnervale needed there captain. Dave" Bulldog" Brauer (11), formerly "The Power" Brauer joined DBT and these two looked comfortable putting on 36 runs in quick time. DBT looking the goods as he smashed anything loose. When Dave was dismissed again Warnervale lost more quick wickets, this time Pete"Woody"Smith (1) caught and Ryan "Didge" Tregidgo (0) bowled were the victims. Adam "Rowey" Rowe (20) joined DBT, and Warnervale had just reached 100 thanks too these two players belting a few boundaries, when DBT and Rowey were soon out. Luke"Corey"Knight (1) was out quickly, leaving Corey"I love my footy" Whybourn not out(0).
Warnervale 104 all out. Oh Dear!!!!
As was shown last week when Toukley fell short chasing a low score, finals pressure can be telling as the force and presence of a team that has a belief in itself can do wonderful things at times. THE WILDCATS are one of those teams.
Opening the bowling Rowey (4 wickets for 24) again showed what pressure is all about. The second ball of the second over Mountains/Gosford 1 for 0 the opener out LBW, Luke"Corey Knight (2 for 27) was also just as irresistible, in his second over the other Mountains/Gosford opener let one go, unfortunately it was just the wrong one to let go, as his off stump was left lying in disarray. Mountains/Gosford 2 for 0, can this be happening. Oh Yes! May the force be with you Luke, and it was, as another wicket fell and Mountains/Gosford were 3 down for no runs. Rowey not to be out done bowled another player and Mountains/Gosford were 4 for 10. Finally two batsmen hung around and Mountains/Gosford crawled to 4/32 at stumps. Unbelievable! See you tomorrow.
Day Two
Warnervale knew they had to keep pressure on at all times, field well and not give up.
22 minutes had past, 14 runs had been added and no wickets taken. A message was sent out by "Booney" Hatcher the 12th man, "Rowey" go around the wicket. He did, an edge and the captain walked caught behind. Slowly but surely the wickets came Ryan"Didge" Tregidgo (3 for 5) bowling an inspired spell sent three batsmen packing including there top scorer bowled. "DBT" Feltis chipped in with one wicket and Rowey once again administered the final rites, bowling the Mountains/Gosford rabbit number 10 leaving their ferret not out (0). Mountains/Gosford 85 all out.

ADAM ROWE BOWLS BRILLIANTLY
AS WARNERVALE TIE TERRIGAL IN 4TH GRADE GRAND FINAL
Warnervale 148 all out vs Terrigal 9/148 (80 overs) tied game.
Warnervale's Dave"Bulldog" Brauer won the toss and elected to bat at Mascord Park on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
Dale"Jesus"Dezius and Andrew"Bacchus"Kent strode to the wicket ready for a tough period against the Terrigal attack.
It wasn't long before Warnervale were in trouble again with its batting. "Bacchus" Kent (2) and Chris"I'm your Man"Sammut (1) were out and the score 2 for 13, but a steadying partnership was going well when Chris"DBT (Don't Bowl There)" Feltis joined Dale.
After doing the hard yards though "Jesus" Dezius (16) then was out caught. Warnervale in trouble still 3 for 36. Feltis then dominated the scoring with a 33 run partnership with Paul"Centurion"Hockley (6), who was troubled by his ageing legs, back and body. Adam "Rowey"Rowe (1) joined "DBT" and when Rowey was out Warnervale had slumped to 5 for 73. Chris"DBT"Feltis (51) brought up his personal fifty and was playing a lone hand, when suddenly he nicked one. Warnervale 6/95, were then in more trouble with Dave"Booney"Hatcher (0) getting a shocker of an LBW decision, so the crowd said. The CATS 7/95. Dave"Bulldog"Brauer (45) had gone to the crease looking for support. Ryan"Didge"Tregidgo (2) and Pete"Woody"Smith (1) came and went and with Warnervale's score now 9/105, Luke"Corey" Knight (10 not out) was our last hope to post a score.Dave and Luke batted brilliantly to put on 43 runs for the last wicket. When Dave was dismissed just short of his fifty, Warnervale had reached 148.
Terrigal's bowling must be acknowledged, they had bowled 27 maiden overs in the 70 overs they bowled. Outstanding stuff.
Five overs remained in the day, and Terrigal were in trouble from the start. Warnervale's pace attack was to hard too score off and in the second last over of the day Warnervale put a catch down and Terrigal finished at 0 for 2.
Day Two
Another brilliant day weather wise. Warnervale were bowling just as tightly as Terrigal, runs hard to come by.
Finally a breakthrough after Luke and Rowey had the openers playing and missing at many deliveries
Rowey bowled one opener, Terrigal 1/29. Dave"Booney" Hatcher (7 overs 2/14) was called into the attack along with Ryan "Didge" Tregidgo (13 overs 1/33) and they too was difficult to handle. Dave removed two top order batsmen the other opener and first drop so after Ryan had got his man caught behind Terrigal were now 4/56 off 40 overs.
Warnervale had bowled themselves back into the match. Tea was taken at the 48th over and Terrigal had reached 4/83.
Chris"DBT"Feltis (7 overs 1/12) was brought into the attack and he struck with his second ball, Rowey was brought back on and he got two quick wickets and Terrigal had slumped to 7/86.
When Luke"Corey"Knight(19 overs 1/31) got rid of the stubborn middle order batsmen, Terrigal were 8/109 off 67 overs.
Warnervale now needed 2 wickets for a victory, Terrigal needed 39 runs off 13 overs.
A 27 run partnership to Terrigal they were now in the box seat, or were they!
Rowey strikes again, for the fourth time Terrigal 9/138 at the end of the 78th over.
Terrigal however composed themselves, scored seven runs of the next over and had four runs to win the match.
Adam"Rowey" Rowe (33 overs, 13 maidens, 4 for 52) what an amazing effort.
Could Rowey deliver the last rites once more?
Two runs off his first five balls, meant this! Warnervale win if we get a wicket or a dot ball. Terrigal win with one run, as a tie will get them the premiers tag.
Rowey bowls it full, the batsmen hit and run. We miss the hard run out chance.

Warnervale 4/226 (36overs) 45 over game.
Rain Stopped play. Result - Draw.
Warnervale were on their way to a massive total when rain stopped play with 9 overs still to be bowled to Warnervale. The opening stand of 79 odd came to an end when Les was out, in came "Oh Great One" Steve Dady(16), hitting another huge six. When Steve was dismissed little did he realise that his call sign of 52x was about to be taken by a Pom. Dave"The Pro" Powell (52 not out)once again showed his true English/Australian Bulldog traits getting his highest score for the club, well batted mate. Matt"Yet to be named" Craig (7) batted in tough conditions as did Greg"Would you like a Muffin with that" Marshall (14 not out).
Well played the CATS!!!!!!!!
A first up win was well and truly on the cards.
Special mention must go to the umpires Bernie and Kim who I believe may, shrink due to water damage.

Warnervale too strong for Woy Woy in season opener
Woy Woy 7/142 (45 overs) lost to Warnervale 2/150 (29 overs) by 8 wickets
Woy Woy batted first and lost wickets consistantly due to the accurate Warnervale bowling led by Bernie"The Shark" Sharkey (2/31 off 9overs) and Dave"The Pro" Powell (2/37 off 9 overs). Dave"I've played before" Rixom (1/16) bowled tightly in his seven overs and Rob"Sir John" Gorton (2/20) also bowled well in his five over spell, new players Matt"Yet to be named" Roberts (0/23)and Matt"Boysen" Berry (0/10) bowled well also, but couldn't get amongst the wickets.
In reply Warnervale were too strong, "Leaping"Les Lear (68no) opened with Dave Powell (27), that champion English/Aussie allrounder, and this pair along with Dave Rixom (33) carved up the Woy Woy attack and won the game with 16 overs to spare, with Steve"Oh Great One" Dady (5no) being there at the end.
Great start guys in your first game for the season.

Warnervale batted first and Mick"The Wheel"Letherbarrow (94 no) great knock Mick and Wayne Marshall (11) got the Cats off to a great start, Anthony"Where have I been" Rawson(2) didn't stay around long, which allowed Greg"A Muffin with that"Marshall to finally show some form and he and Mick guided the team to a safer score. Kim England (2), Jordan Burguss (0), Rob Harris (8), Matt Craig (2) and Frank"Column 8"Gilroy (1) all came and went quickly and finally Mick"I'm still sore"Lonsdale (14) stayed with Mick but ran out of overs for his 100.

C GRADE - WARNERVALE SHORT OF RUNS
Warnervale 141 lost to Umina 6/151 by 4 wickets.
Umina won the toss and asked Warnervale to set a score. Umina's bowlers though were fired up and ready to go.

Warnervale all out 141.
In reply Umina got off to a slow start with Bernie (1/27) and Dave Powell (3/20) each picking up an early wicket, Umina then consolidated with a strong parnership to set up their win. "Boysen" Berry crushed the nut, to force the retired hurt, "The Pro" got two more and Matt Roberts (1/35) got a wicket and a run out was Uminas other wicket to fall, but in the end Warnervale just couldn't defend its small total.
Well fought though boys.

Narara 70 all out lost to Warnervale 0/82 by 10 wickets.
Narara won the toss and decided to bat first. Warnervale captain Leigh Peacock was looking for a better performance this week and the players delivered the goods.
Matt"Boysen" Berry (0/12) off 9 overs, David "The Pro" Powell (3/4) off 9 overs and Bernie"The Shark" Sharkey (3/14) off 7 overs were outstanding with the ball in the opening overs, especially "The Pro". Matt Roberts (1/14), Jamie Lott (2/10) and Craig Lear (1/16) were also fantastic with the ball in the last overs. Dominating from start to end.
Narara never got a look in bowled out for 70.
Warnervale's run chase was then put in the hands of the Lear brothers Les (43 not out) and Craig (13 not out). A first for the club, two brothers in the team. The guys did the job in fine style and the smile on their faces at the Oval Saturday night will long be remembered.

WARNERVALE CAN'T DEFEND SMALL TOTAL
Warnervale 116 all out lost to Wyong 8/129 by two wickets
After winning the toss and electing to bat. Warnervale could not score enough runs to defend, even though the bowlers almost did the impossible.
Dave"The Pro" Powell (20) continued his good form with bat and ball and was looking for a partner, but Craig"I'm his brother" Lear (4), Matt"Duck"Roberts (0) and James"I'll do your books" Peacock (4) all fell cheaply, before Leigh"Captain" Peacock (21) steady the ship with "The Pro". Leaping"Les" Lear (11), Dave Rixom (6) and Paul Ireland (14) all got starts before James"Daisey" Thomas (0) was out again without troubling the scorers. Warnervale were in desperate need of some runs and Steve "52x" Dady (13) and Bernie "The Shark" Sharkey (13 not out) took the score past 100. But 116 was always hard to defend.
Wyong however were soon in trouble, 3 quick wickets by "The Shark" (3/33) and "The Pro" (1/15) had Wyong in real trouble and when "Leaping" Les Lear (1/18) got his wicket, followed by Dave Rixom's (2/29) first Wyong were 6 for 67. Game on. However two late order batsmen from Wyong got going and scored the winning runs, but not before "Duck" Roberts (1/24) got a late wicket.
Well done guys, good game CATS!!!!

WARNERVALE BOWLED OVER BY WYONG
Warnervale 57 all out lost to Wyong 3/61 by 7 wickets.
Another lot of low scores by our batsmen after a promising start left Warnervale with little chance of winning. Chris Sammut (2) run out and Chris"I am a Pro"Chivas (26) looked like getting Warnervale a flyer. Phil"The Brother in Law of Hockers" Creswick (10) looked good as well and then it all went pear shaped , Dave"Putt Putt" Bell (1), Jordan"I'm still smiling" Burgess(0), Geoff "Wise" Pebbles (2), Rob"Coffee and Tea"Harris (0), Carlo"Monte" Musumeci (0), Frank"Column 8" Gilroy (2) and Matt"I'm OK" Craig (3) didn't bother the scorers a lot and Bec"I'm the First Lady"Hockley was (0 not out).
Wyong took only 14 overs to get the runs, however ther were some nice highlights in the field.
Chris"I'll have a go" Sammut (1/32) bowled some quick deliveries and Chris showed he'll be a valuable player for the club. Phil"I'm related to Hockers" (1/0) and "Monte" Carlo (1/7) took the other wickets.
Bec"I'm the first Lady" Hockley took a great catch and a special mention to Frank"Iron Gloves"Gilroy, who took many blows on the body and still had the nerve to catch one, well done Franky G.

WARNERVALE'S "BOYSEN" BERRY NOT THE FLAVOUR FOR GOSFORD
Gosford 42 all out lost to Warnervale 3/43 by 7 wickets.
Matt"Boysen"Berry (5/16) off 9 overs destroyed Gosfords batting line up at Wadalba Oval on Saturday. Matt finally got the rewards, after a couple of weeks not getting wickets. Great bowling Matt in a one day game.
Gosford won the toss and battered and were 22 without loss when Matt and Dave"The Pro" Powell (2/13) off 9 overs, started their own battering, reducing Gosford to 7/28 in a matter of 6 overs.
Mick"The Wheel"Letherbarrow" (1/4) and Matt"Duck"Roberts (1/6) cleaned up the tail.
Leigh"Captain"Peacock was brilliant in the field grabbing three catches, especially the classic that got him off the ground. Life in the old legs still hey Leigh, well played skipper.
Well bowled the CATS!!!!
In reply "The Wheel" (16 not out) and "Leaping" Les Lear (11) opened the batting and set a solid platform. Jamie"Got The" Lott (16) joined "The Wheel" and these two saw Warnervale home. Jamie was dismissed after the winning score had been passed, but the captains agreed to play out the over which saw Jamie"Daisey"Thomas (0) add to his collection of ducks, the likes of this collection has not been seen, since that man "52x" was gathering them like antiques a couple of seasons ago.

WARNERVALE GO DOWN IN CLOSE GAME
Warnervale 122 all out lost to Gosford 8/124 by 2 wickets.
Warnervale's D Grade One Day Team at least set a total that would give them a chance of victory on Saturday. Batting first Dave"Booney"Hatcher (6) and Mick"My knees come good"Lonsdale (9) were out cheaply, but Phil"I'm related to Hockers"Creswick (35) played a lone hand with Paul"Huge Man"Wise (2) and Greg"Muffin"Marshall (7) also falling with small scores, and then finally Dave"Putt Putt"Bell (29) combined with Phil to get Warnervales innings moving. Wayne"Mary"Marshall (1) came and went quickly, this was followed by a top innings from Rob"Coffee and Tea"Harris (21), well batted Rob. Frank"Iron Gloves" Gilroy (0), "Monte" Carlo Musumeci (4) and Jordan"I'm still smiling"Burgess (0 not out) were the final batsmen getting Warnervale to 122 all out.
In reply Warnervale had Gosford in trouble on more than one occassion. It took a final partnership of 30 odd runs for their eighth wicket to get them home.
Mick Lonsdale (1/9), Dave Hatcher(1/19), Phil Creswick(2/14), Paul Wise (1/24), Greg Marshall (2/13) and Rob Harris (1/4) were the wicket takers and they all bowled well to put as much pressure on the Gosford batting.

Mountains 152 all out lost to Warnervale 7/157 by three wickets.
Dave"The Pro"Powell (4/27), Matt"Boysen"Berry (1/22) and Matt"Duck"Roberts (3/37) destroyed Mountains top order batsmen, to have them reeling at 5 for 40,but for two lower order partnerships Mountains would not have made 100. Chris Kramb (1/7) and Dave Rixom (1/1) cleaned up the other wickets. Rob"Bubbles"Brennan (0/12), Blackers (0/22), Steve"52x"Dady (0/14) all bowled well and Mountains had a total of 152 to defend.
Chasing the runs Dave"The Champ" Blackaby (70) and Brett Blackall (8) opened the innings and put on 44 for the first wicket. Brett playing his first game for the club had a great time, and showed all his emotions, great stuff.
Paul"Irish"Ireland (1), Matt Berry (14) and Leigh"Captain"Peacock (2) all came and went quickly and suddenly Mountains were back in the game.
But two cool heads in Dave"Iceman"Rixom (31not out) and Dave"The Pro" Powell (17) steadied the ship and Warnervale were out of danger. Although losing Chris Kramb(0), Matt Roberts (2 not out) stayed with "The Iceman" for a good win to the CATS!!!!!

WARNERVALE MOVE INTO SECOND SPOT WITH GUTSY WIN
Warnervale 216 defeated The Entrance 200 by 16 runs.
Warnervale batting first got off to another solid start thanks to "Leaping" Les Lear (30) and Mick "The Wheel" Letherbarrow (27), a couple of quick wickets saw Dave"The Qual" Blackaby (6) and Jamie"I've Got the"Lott (6) back in the pavilion as well, but the ship was steadied by the Leigh"Captain"Peacock (60). Warnervale were never able to dominate the bowling but the score ticked over thanks to the 51sundries given up by The Entrance. Scott"Don't call me short again"Dady (4) and Craig"Cracker"Lear (1) didn't stay around long, but Matt"Boysen"Berry (23) stayed with Leigh to help build a competitive target.Chris Kramb (0),Matt"Duck"Roberts (6) and Paul Losos (2 not out) were our last three batsmen.
In reply Warnervale once again started well "Boysen" (3/37) and "The Duck" (3/33) ripped The Entrance apart (They love The Entrance these two lads), taking the first six wickets between them. The Entrance were on the ropes at 6/50, a small partnership was broken when "The Wheel" (1/44) struck and when Paul Losos took his first wicket for the club (1/34), The Entrance were 8/90.
But a 100 run partnership by The Entrance batsmen nearly stole the game from the jaws of defeat. Finally, Scott"How tall am I now" Dady came to the rescue (1/32), with a vital wicket and then Jamie"I'm in alot of pain"Lott engineered a brilliant run out, broken toe and all.
The Warnervale players jubilant reactions showed how much the win meant to them as a TEAM and they deserved the win by sticking together, when things got tight at the end.

WARNERVALE GET CLOSE BUT NOT CLOSE ENOUGH
Doyalson Maroon 205 defeated Warnervale 178 by 27runs.
Batting first Doyalson got off to a shaky start with both openers getting ducks. Mick"Knees" Lonsdale (3/26) bowled beautifully and was well supported by Carlo"Monte" Musumeci (1/17) Carlos six overs included four maidens, great bowling Monte. Solid middle order batting saw Doyalson start to compile a competitive total. Greg "Muffin" Marshall (1/60) took some stick on a small ground, Ahmed Ramay (3/33) took some important wickets which started to slow the run rate.Wickets to Rob Harris (1/20) and Brett Blackall (1/6) meant Doyalson were kept to 205 on a small and fast ground.
In reply Warnervale were well placed at 4/100 but the tail end could not wag. Matt Craig (36) and Brett Blackall (5) opened the batting and did well against the new ball. Greg Marshall (12),Dave"Putt Putt" Bell (28), Rob Harris (30) and Ahmed Ramay (40 not out) had all got starts but couldn't keep going and stay with Ahmed.
Wayne"Mary" Marshall (0), Frank"Iron Gloves/Chest" Gilroy (1), Jordan Burgess (1), Carlo Musumeci (6) and Mick Lonsdale (2) all fell cheaply, but in the end Warnervale weren't far from victory, against the team coming second.

Finals Week 1
WARNERVALE ROUT GOSFORD TO REACH WEEK 2 OF THE FINALS
Gosford 49 all out lost to Warnervale 3/53 by 7 wickets.
[ Scorecard ]
Gosford won the toss and elected to bat first against the strong Warnervale bowling attack.
Leigh"Captain" Peacock gave the new ball to Matt "Boysen" Berry (1wkt for 23) and Rob"Bubbles" Brennan (2 for 3) and although Gosford scored 10 runs in the third over off Berry, they were in trouble as "Bubbles" Brennan soon burst the Gosford bubble with a brilliant display of swing bowling. "Leaping" Les Lear took the first of his two classic catches, combining with Brennan to dismiss one opener for a duck. Brennan then bowled the next batsmen with a classic outswinger and Gosford were in need of a partnership, but "Boysen" who had trouble finding his normal good line and length bowling had other ideas and struck the vital blow getting rid of Gosford's other opener, caught beautifully by Paul"Irish"Ireland.
Leigh Peacock then made his first bowling change in the thirteenth over bring on Matt"Duck"Roberts, replacing "Boysen" Berry and in the fourteenth over "Mick"The Wheel" Letherbarrow replaced "Bubbles" Brennan.
What took place next was just brilliant to watch.
Mick"The Wheel" Letherbarrow ( 6 for 7) off 5 overs, single handed dismantled Gosford's batting. Micks bowling effort was backed up in the field with great catches taken by Bernie" I did drop one" Sharkey, Dave"The Pro" Powell and "Bubbles" Brennan.
Congratulations Mick on a fantastic effort.
Matt"Duck"Roberts ( 1 for 12 ) was not to be denied and finished the innings with "Leaping" Les Lear taking his second classic catch for the match.
Gosford all out for 49 in 22 overs and one ball.
In reply Warnervale's innings was opened by the ever reliable pair of Craig "Cracker" Lear (15) and he's not heavy he's my brother "Leaping" Les Lear (11). The boys put on an opening stance of 37 before "Crackers" was out. Quickly followed by "Bubbles' Brennan (0) and "Leaping Les" leaving Warnervale 3 for 40, but Mick "The Wheel" (7 not out) and Matt "The Duck" (3 not out) got Warnervale the last few runs needed for a fantastic win.
Next Sundays game is at Karraba Oval, Berkley Vale. 12.00 pm start.

Finals Week 2
WARNERVALE DOMINATE FINAL FROM START TO FINISH
Warnervale 8/194 defeated Kincumber 8/165 by 29 runs.
Leigh Peacocks team arrived at Kurraba Oval, well prepared for the day ahead and if their warm up was any indication run outs were not going to be a highlight.Ha ha. "Boysen" how's the washing???? DRY!!
Kincumber won the toss and sent Warnervale in to bat on a ground that was very slow.
"Leaping Les" (1) and brother "Crackers" Lear (19) opened and were not being troubled other than the slow ground, was keeping the run rate down. Leaping's dismissal brought Mick"The Wheel" Letherbarrow in and along with "Crackers" were cruising, the run rate slowly rising and Warnervale in control. "The Wheel" then had an MLC moment thinking "Crackers" was Carl Lewis, Crackers unfortunately run out. Matt"formerly the duck"Roberts (71) joined Mick and together they dominated the bowling till the drinks break.
After the drinks Matt"I Can Bat" Roberts destroyed the Kincumber attack smashing fours and six's to all parts of the boundary.
"The Wheel" played the perfect foil, taking Warnervale's score past 100 and looking at 175 as a defendable total. But the Warnervale batsmen were relentless. When Mick was out, Bobby"Bubbles" Brennan(1) and Leigh "Captain" Peacock (4) were quickly dismissed and in came Jamie"We are the Navy Blues"Lott (47) together with Matty they poured on the runs. Paul"Irish"Ireland (0), Dave"The Pro" Powell (8) not out and Matt "Boysen" Berry (0) not out, were the final batsmen at the crease.
Warnervale had powered and dominated too 8 for 194 off 45 overs, scoring 127 runs in last 21 overs.
Defending 194 on a slow out field Warnervale had the bowling firepower to win the game, they just had to be patient.
Matt"Boysen"Berry (0/34) took the new ball with Bob"Bubbles"Brennan (2/28) and they set the tone for the other bowlers. Kincumber started losing wickets at regular intervals, "The Wheel" Letherbarrow (1/30) and "I Can Bat" Roberts (1/19) put the middle order to sleep and it was left to Dave "The Pro" Powell (3/25) and Jamie"We are the Navy Blues" Lott (1/27) to contain the tailenders. Kincumber eventually 8/165 still 29 runs short at the end of the allotted 45 overs.
Warnervale dominated the game from start to finish and go the grand final full of confidence.

Grand Final
WARNERVALE BATTER UMINA BOWLERS TO BE PREMIERS
Umina 7 for 191 lost to Warnervale 2 for 195 by eight wickets.
Leigh"Captain"Peacock won the toss and elected to bowl first in the deciding game of the year.
Umina were the only team that Warnervale had not beaten this season and so the stage was set for a competitive game.
Matt"Boysen"Berry (9 overs 0/33) and Bobby"Bubbles"Brennan (8 overs 0/30) opened the bowling and off the first 12 overs Umina had reached 0/40, a solid steady start. Leigh made his first bowling change in the thirteenth over bringing on Mick"The Wheel"Letherbarrow (9 overs 1/27) and in the following over brought Matt"I can bat"Roberts (7 overs 2/27) into the attack. "The Wheel" got the break through Warnervale needed getting the opener caught. Umina were 1/47 off 15 overs. Matt then struck in the 22nd over and Umina were 2/65 off twenty-two overs. Mick and Matt had done the job, slowed the run rate and got the wickets.
Leigh then made this next bowling change and possibly the game winning change bringing Dave "The Pro" Powell on (7overs 4/40).It took just twelve balls for "The Pro" to deliver the first blow getting rid of the dangerous Umina opener who was closing in on his fifty. Two overs later and "The Pro" removed the other danger man who was scoring at a run a minute. Umina 4/124 off 31 overs. Then two overs later the game breaker, with his third and fourth balls two more wickets, putting him on a hat trick. Well bowled Dave, great stuff. Umina 6/139 off 35 overs. Warnervale were looking to chase around 220 on the Blue Haven ground, with it's fast outfield. When Matt Roberts took the only other wicket to fall in the 45 over. Umina's score of 7/191always looked shaky, given Warnervale the previous week had scored 194 on a very slow ground.
The Chase!
Warnervale all year have been well served by the Lear brothers "Leaping Les" and "Cracker's Craig" at the top of the order. Les and Craig were scoring well at just over 3 runs an over when Les was adjudged LBW for 7 with the score on 23 in the seventh over. Craig who was doing all the scoring at this stage was next to go caught in the twelfth over for 22 with the score on 38. These two batsmen made way for Mick"The Wheel"Letherbarrow and Matt"I Can Bat"Roberts to set about challenging the Umina total, and that they did.
That was it folks!
NO MORE WICKETS.JUST A BATTERING
What an outstanding batting performance. Mick"The Wheel"Letherbarrow 75no. and Matt"I Can Bat"Roberts 84no.
An unbroken partnership of 157 runs, just a fantastic batting effort. The last 50 runs came in just 5 overs, and Warnervale still had another 7 overs to spare.

4TH GRADE AND C GRADE MAKE SEMI FINALS IN SENIOR COMPETITION
Fourth grade made the semi finals of the Two Day competition with an outright win over Umina on Saturday.
This is a fantastic result for the club as it is the highest ranked team that we field.
The 4th grade team has been under manned in the past three games and I'm sure that with our best team on the park Warnervale will do well in the finals.
C grade in the One Day competition also progressed into the finals with an outstanding victory over the minor premiers Doyalson. Leigh Peacocks team are on a roll going down by one run in the previous round to the second placed team. So again with our best side on the paddock this team has nothing to fear and I know Leigh will lead them well.
Good luck to all the players in the finals.

WYONG 155 defeated WARNERVALE 136
Wyong won the Craig Purcell Trophy on Sunday when they defended what was thought to be a low score.
Brilliantly led by "Central Coast and Wyong Legend" Doug Trigg (who's not coming out of retirement), Wyong restricted Warnervale's run chase with excellent field placings and youthful exuberance.
The game was played in tremendous spirit, and was highlighted with Scott and Brad Purcell playing in the game.
Both clubs presidents were thanked by Scott at the presentation on behalf of the Purcell family for the effort that Wyong and Warnervale Cricket Clubs put into the day and the fact that Craig would be very proud in the way game was played, notwithstanding a Wyong win of course.
Wyong will host next years game, which will be on Sunday 24th January 2010.
NEW CLUB RECORD SET IN BRILLANT BATTING DISPLAY
Adam Bell 145
Adam Bell has set the standard for batting this season with a stunning innings of 145 in the D grade one day game vs Umina at Fred Pinkstone Oval on Saturday.
Having been set a huge total of 319 for victory Adam set about winning the game for the Cats. Eventually Warnervale fell 39 runs short, which was a terrific effort by the team.
Adams performance was full of power as well as some solid defence when required. He had the Umina attack on the back foot guessing which part of the ground he was targeting.
The other highlight of course is that his Dad, Dave Bell was there playing with him, something they had not done before this year. Adam drives up from Sydney to play with us as much as he can, and we congratulate him on his outstanding performance.
WARNERVALE WILDCATS CRICKET MAKES IT TO THE SCG
The in2cricket program allowed our boys and girl to go to the SCG, on day three of the test match, to show off their skills.
I want to thank Cricket NSW for their outstanding cooridinated efforts on the day. Donna Little was our assistant for the day and I sincerely thank her for the way she looked after us.
As for the kids, I'll let the photos do the talking. The pink scarfs looked great on Jane McGrath day.
To the parents I say thank you for supporting our club the way you all do.
Special thanks to Danny Ariel and Dave Powell for running the field game so well.

DEZIUS AND GORTON ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP
Dale "Jesus" Dezius and Rob" I'm not related" Gorton, have announced a partnership in the designing of a new under garment for cricket.
The "FUUGORTONS" to be manufactured in South Africa, are designed for optimum comfort.
In much the same way that boxer shorts, look great but don't hold much in place for cricket and give the person that false sense of security that they are aren't actually wearing a box.
Dale and Rob, both illustrious Maths teachers put there heads together and worked out that if like Dale you forget to put a box on (I'ts ok Carol nothing damaged, darling.) and combine it with Robs fashion sense, by wearing colourful boxers.
That if you use electrical tape to strap the box to your boxers, the FUUGORTONS are a winner, just ask Rob it worked on Saturday.
Please note that a warning sign will be placed on this item before being released to the public.
WARNING: "Shaving of certain areas is highly recommended prior to immediate use, it will reduce pain and tears"
Suggest red electrical tape be used to match any bleeding.
CLUB SECURES TWO NEW MAJOR SPONSORS
It is with great pleasure that we announce that United Financial Services and Warnies have come on board as major sponsors of the club. These organisations have agreed to, two year apparel and advertising deals.
Ian Birch the Manager of United Financial Services is delighted to be supporting the club, Ian was in attendance at the cricket club presentation night last year. He was impressed with what the club was looking at doing in the future, and decided to get United Financial Services involved early. Ian's company can provide loans for various reasons, not just individual loans or car loans.
Call Ian on 0403 271002 for any financial advice.
David Hannan owner of Warnies is a long time supporter of the rugby club, and has decided that supporting the cricket club is also of benefit to his business. Warnies is located at the Warnervale Railway Station, behind Warnies is a substantial area that we will use to play in2cricket on. The use of this area is much appreciated as we are limited to suitable grounds in the area. Warnies is renowned for its well balanced menu and the food quality, please support our sponsors.
WHO SAID A BERRY CAN'T CRUSH A NUT
Talking about protection, the Umina batsmen who forgot his box, may want to call Dale and Rob, after he had a FUUGORTON moment on Saturday.
Matt"Boysen" Berry one of our new players, delivered the telling blow, and now we know that a Berry can crush a nut.
WYONG ROOS GIVE WILDCATS CRICKET A BOOST
The community sports grant program at the Wyong Leagues Club Group, has agreed to give the Warnervale Cricket Club a grant this year, to help the club get established in the local area.
The Wyong Roos support the Rugby club, and we are very grateful to the board at the leagues club for giving us this money.
SAD PASSING OF JANE MCGRATH
It is with great sadness that we learned today about the passing of Glenn McGrath's wife Jane.
As all of us are aware, Jane battled cancer for 11 years, having first been diagnosed with breast cancer and later bone cancer.
The McGrath Foundation was her legacy to this world and I ask you to support this cause when you can.
I ask those of you, when you can, to maybe say a prayer for Glenn and his two young children who have just lost a wonderful mother and wife.
- May She Rest in Peace -
2008/2009 NEW COMMITTEE ELECTED AT AGM
The executive committee was elected at the AGM, however we still need a Secretary as David Blackaby has taken on the new role of Director of Senior Cricket. Dave will continue on in the meantime.
Steve Dady did not seek re election for the Social Chairman's job this year, that is now in the hands of Gary"Fuji"Clark. However it was decided to have other members voted onto a social committee, and Steve Dady, Andrew Kent and Paul Hockley were elected.
Pete Smith also did not seek re election as Registrar and Recorder, and Dale Dezius is the new custodian of that position.
Besides the Director of Senior Cricket, there were two new positions which are not board positions, which required filling.
We will be doing our own web site updating this year, Greg Knight is "The Webmaster".
Paul Hockley has taken on the thankless job of Chairman of Selectors. Pauls good eye for a cricketer will no doubt be of great benefit to us all.
David Clune and Leigh Peacock were returned as President and Treasurer respectively.

JUNIOR CRICKET SURVEYS OUT AND ABOUT
Schools in the Warnervale and surrounding areas have sent home a survey for juniors.
We will be starting the in2cricket (formerly Milo) program for the 5 to 8 years earlier than we planned.
Looks like we are going to have the support of Lakes Grammar and MacKillop Colleges which is great. Woongarragh Public school are also getting keen.
So we will definitely have lots of baby Wildcats.
DALES BIRTHDAY AT WANDIN VALLEY
Our much loved Daley Francis "Jesus" Dezius celebrated his 2040th birthday in style at Wadin Valley.
What a bash Carol organised. Surprise! Surprise! Dale didn't have a clue. Noteable attendees included Mary, mother of Jesus. Is there no end to this story. Mary said, "Dale was a devine child." Yeah right Mary! Also among the guests were Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
The cricket match was a hoot! Dale got "The Pres" out. No Surprise! Hockers couldn't play, sore back, apparently, but the keg was good. Dale
Carol, is now looking at booking the SCG for Daley Francis's 50th.
Can't wait!!!!
BLACKERS OPERATION A SUCCESS
Daves surgery went well the other week. The doctor has said he'll make a full recovery.

UNDER 9s KEEP WINNING RUN INTACT WITH FIRST TIE
On Thursday 29th January 2009 Warnervale Wildcats Under 9s Cricket team played Doyalson-Wyee Blue. It was a very close match as there was some great bowling by both teams, obviously there had been a lot of beach cricket or one day games played in the holidays. We lost the toss and were sent into bat first. Logan and Lachlan started off and put a few runs on the board but both lost their wickets to good bowling. Kaleb and Zac were next and both scored well with Zac putting on 14 runs and Kaleb hitting a great 4. Unfortunately Zac also lost his wicket during his 4 overs at the crease. Alex and Ryan were next and Alex needed a runner (Lachlan) as he had an injured foot. Ryan hit a four and also hit several good shots but the fielding was quick so no more runs were scored. Alex hit 2 fours but unfortunately his runner was run out. Brendan and Bailey were our last batters and Brendan also hit a four. At the end of our innings we had lost 4 wickets and scored 68 runs. Doyalson-Wyee Blue were also kept to just 68 runs with some great bowling (wides were kept to a minimum) and we took 4 wickets with a stumping, straight and accurate bowling by Lachlan and a run out. Unfortunately we had caught the Aussie team’s slippery fingers and put down a few catches which ended up resulting in a draw rather than a win for our team. Well done boys, a great effort and team play and we’ll practice those catching skills at training.
In the last game before the holidays, Warnervale Wildcats played Wyong White. We had 2 away on holidays and another player sick, so we played with 5 players. We batted first and put on 155 runs through some great hitting, running but also some weak bowling from the opposition, giving us many runs through no balls and wides. We only lost 2 wickets. We then bowled and were able to get 5 of their players out with good bowling from Zac, Logan and Ryan and a runout from Harrison (thanks for subbing). They scored 85 runs and this resulted in us being the victors. Well done to all the boys who had to bat and bowl extra overs but I don’t think they really minded. We have a winning streak of 4 games going into the holidays. Well done and enjoy your break but keep up the training with lots of watching the Aussie teams and beach cricket.
Thursday 11th December
Warnervale had a BYE.
Thursday 4th December
Warnervale played The Entrance
We won the toss and elected to bowl. We had some very good bowling to begin with and kept the opposition to 89 runs, with a loss of 3 wickets. The wickets were taken by Lachlan’s and Ryan’s bowling and a great catch by Brendan. Our bowling has continued to improve and we are giving away far less no balls and wides. Best bowling figures were to Zac and Logan. The first 2 batters were Lachlan and Alex and they managed to put on 20 runs from the bat. When they finished their 4 overs the score was none out for 32, a great beginning partnership. Ryan and Brendan were next up and the runs kept coming with a great 4 from Brendan. Logan and Kaleb were next and their partnership added another 11 runs off the bat. Zac and Bailey finished our innings. We had a score of 92 runs with the loss of only 2 wickets, Ryan and Zac were both caught. This gave us the match and we are now on a 3 week winning streak. Well done boys and keep up the consistent bowling and plugging away at getting those runs.
Thursday 27th November
Warnervale played Doyalson-Wyee Marroon
We were sent into field first. We saw good bowling from Lachlan, Ryan and Zac H this week, each of them taking a wicket. Logan again bowled consistently this week, with no wides or no balls bowled in his 2 overs. At the conclusion of the first inning we had taken 3 wickets and only conceded 78 runs. This was a good score to defend. Bailey and Brendan were our first batters and were against some good bowling from the opposition. Logan and Kaleb were the next batters and started the score ticking over more consistently. Zac and Alex were next to the crease and they knew they had to score some runs. Together they scored 28 runs, with a huge 6 and three 4s from Alex. Zac A, Lachlan and Ryan finished the scoring off. With a final total of 107 runs scored with the loss of only 3 wickets, Bailey, Kaleb and Zac H we were victorious. Another great win from the boys. Our batting and bowling have been improving and the games have been great. Thanks to the dads for the coaching of a Tuesday afternoon which is improving the team’s skills.

WARNERVALE UNDER 9s GET THEIR FIRST WIN.
Warnervale 102 defeated Wyong Green 82.
On Thursday 20th November, Warnervale Wildcats played Wyong Green at Kanwal. Our boys looked great in their team uniform and the new kit is great. We lost the toss and were sent into bat. Zac A and Brendan were our first batters and were only able to make a few runs from some very good bowling from the opposition. Alex and Zac H batted next and Zac hit a couple of 4s, Alex one too and they were our most successful partnership with 18 off the bat. Logan and Lachlan were next up and Logan scored 3 fours being our best batter for the game. Bailey and Ryan were last into bat and they also scored a few runs. At the end of our innings we had lost no wickets and scored 102 runs. This was our best batting performance this season. With a great total to defend the boys were pumped. The bowling has been improving with each game and we kept Wyong Green to just 81 runs. The best of our bowlers were Zac H and Logan with the least wides, no balls and runs scored against them. Bailey took a great wicket with his bowling and Lachlan was great in fielding to run out a player. It was a fantastic effort from the boys and we came away as convincing winners.

WARNERVALE JUNIOR CRICKET STARTS
Although not succesful on the scoreboard, Warnervale Under 11s took to the field on Saturday for the first time. A lot of the boys have limited cricket experience but that did not stop them from being enthusiastic and the smiles said it all.
Thanks to Sara and Gary for their input in getting things organised. Thank you also to Elizabeth for taking the historic photo.
The photo below is another piece of Wildcats Cricket history. These boys can truly lay claim to being the first juniors to play for Warnervale. The playing shirts and caps look great.

IN2CRICKET STARTS AT WARNERVALE
Another chapter in our new club started on Saturday when sixteen of the twenty registered players attended our first session of in2cricket.
The session started at 8.00am and was run by centre co-coordinators Danny Ariel, Dave Powell, and Dave Hatcher. Several of the Dads took up key roles as station helpers and the Mums and grandparents were there for support.
It was a pleasure to hear all the positive responses from the parents about the in2cricket program and they were taken back by all the gear the children received for the amount of money it costs to be involved. The smiles from the children said it all.
Cricket is without doubt, this countries national game and in2cricket will ensure it stays that way.
I want to thank all the parents who came on Saturday, if every week is like this one, we are going to have a lot of fun.
Thanks also to Renee Millen and Neil McDonald at CricketNSW for their support as well, without their help we would not have started on Saturday

WELCOME TO WARNERVALE
CRICKET CLUB
This is an exciting time for all of us.
With the commencement of something new it is important that we all have one clear common objective, and that is to involve as many children as possible in our national game.
There is no sport in this country that is more Australian and that typifies Australian spirit, than a game of cricket in the back yard or on the beach or at the park, I'm sure you would all agree.
Our club creed "The True Spirit of Cricket" is located on our home page www.warnervalewildcats.com.au (click on the cricket logo) and this is what Warnervale Wildcats as a cricket club is all about.
Please read it, show your children and explain the meaning of it, they'll hear it and see it many times in their time with our club.
They are the future of the game and Warnervale cricket.
We would like to thank those parents who helped by responding to our survey.
Registration dates are posted below and we look forward to seeing you at these registration days.
Tell your friends and neighbours that you are about to register.
For those without email that you know, please use the bush telegraph. The more the better.
The Sunday 31st August demonstration and BBQ day, is a compulsory day for all junior registered players, especially the in2cricket players. A NSWCA representative will be coming on that day. We will still register you on this day.
We have put the in2cricket logo and link on the Junior page, if you want to find out more about what NSW Cricket has to offer, have a look.
As your President, I ask only one thing and that is if you have any problems about what's going on in the club, don't talk amongst yourselves, come and talk to us and more importantly, if you're passionate about your kid's cricket give us a hand and get involved.
Once again, Welcome to our club.
I hope you enjoy your cricket.

in2cricket will start on Saturday 18th October 2008. The program will consist of 8 weeks prior to Xmas and 4 weeks after.
The last session before Christmas is Saturday 20th December 2008. Recommencement is Saturday 7th February 2009 and concludes Saturday 28th February 2009.
The venue is behind Warnies at Warnervale Railway, sessions will start at 8.30am sharp and conclude at approx 10.00am.
All participants must play in a hat and sunscreen must be applied to all children prior to the start time.
Parents are reminded that for this program to work we need parents to get involved.
Remember we need 2 parents at each of the 4 activity stations.
We need some leaders so the children get to enjoy their time at learning cricket. Please step in and help.
Just a reminder, that if we clash with the markets, we may have to change to the Sunday morning in that month.
At the moment it looks we do clash on a couple of occassions, so the dates we play to avoid these clashes would be:-

Thanks to all the parents who came last Sunday and I wish you and your children a warm welcome to Warnervale Junior Cricket.

Round One
HISTORIC FIRST GAME WIN
Round One
Warnervale Cricket Club took the field for the first time on Saturday 6th October 2007. In the seventh grade competition of the Central Coast Cricket Association, after eight grade was postponed.
As fate would have it, the oldest club Lisarow - Ourimbah hosted the newest club Warnervale Wildcats at Paddy Clifton Oval No.2.
History will record that Warnervale won the match by an outright margin of 10 wickets. Scores for the match were Lisarow 84 & 119 vs Warnervale 201 & 0/9. Captain, Leigh Peacock won the toss and asked Lisarow - Ourimbah to bat first.
Lisarow batting first (84), were constantly under attack from a Warnervale attack lead by u/17 speedster Luke Knight. Luke has the honour of taking the first wicket in the clubs history, bowling M. Poncard for 4. Wickets were evenly shared by the bowlers with Dave Brauer finishing with the figures of 3 for 25.
Warnervale batting in reply finished Day One at 6/105, a first innings lead. Peter Smith 46 and Dave Brauer 27 leading the way. Warnervale on Day Two were looking for quick runs, chasing a possible outright victory and they came from the most unlikely source of Steve Dady 52 not out. Steve is not noted for his batting prowess, but stood and delivered with what the captain needed and he therefore has the record of the first 50 for the club he also took two valuable catches. Warnervale were eventually bowled out for 201.
Batting a second time Lisarow (119) again struggled against the good Warnervale attack. Luke Knight again starting well with early wickets before finishing with the fine figures of 4 for 5. Bernie Sharkey also chipped in with 2 for 17. Also, the notable effort of James Peacock's 5 catches as wicketkeeper should be mentioned.
This left Warnervale to chase a small total (3) for victory, and that was achieved with the loss of no wickets.
As a club we can be proud of the way we played. Leigh Peacock has said at the clubs celebrations that, "Riley Sohier the captain of Lisarow - Ourimbah was to be congratulated in the way he helped make the occasion special for our players".
The game was played in the right spirit and both clubs are to be congratulated. A photo of both teams was taken and will be held for posterity along with the result sheet.

Dave Blackaby (3/21) struck twice early on and Gary "Fuji" Clarl (2/29) also got an early wicket to have Lisarow reeling at 3 for 2 in the 4th over. A patrnership of 38 came to an end when Richard "The Body or The Pros son" Powell (1/11)struck, taking his first wicket for the club. Lisarow then consolidated with a patrnership of 45 until Blackers took his third wicket, at 5 for 85 Warnervale seemed to have the game in control. When Dale" Jesus" Dezius (1/45) took a wicket, prior to being reduced to a mortal and Paul" I get a start" Hockley (1/27) got his wicket, Lisarow were in big trouble at 7 for 94. Then Dale" I'm now a mortal" Dezius got smashed along with Andrew "Clark" Kent (1/41) and all of sudden the game was on. Lisarows "sleeper" B. Howen" smashed 55 in 7 overs and Lisarow all of sudden had 187 on the board.
Warnervales chase got a perfect start, Blackers was first out for 27 with the score on 47, then Andrew Kent and Dale Dezius took us to 122 in the 31st over. When Andrew 'I'll get 50 soon" was out for 35. Jesus Dezius was still there on 56 and going stong. Warnervale were 4 for 149 after Duncan Woods and Paul Hockley got out cheaply and with only 39 more for victory who would have thought a loss was possible. Dale had made a terrific 67 and when he got out at 5 for 149 Warnervale looked shakey. Soon it was rocky and then it was all over. Collapsing all out 157.
Well done by Lisarow, they showed what can be done when you stick at it. Bad luck Warnervale, learn from the mistakes

SEVENTH GRADE EVENLY POISED
Round Two - Day One
Seventh grade are playing Toukley at Lakehaven Oval.
Leigh (I don't lose a toss) Peacock sent Toukley into bat, and after a slow start the bowlers found their right lines and Bernie Sharkey (3/ 26) made the vital early break throughs and was well supported in the field by Peter Gafa who took a classic catch at square leg. Runs flowed and wickets fell constantly during the day with Luke Knight finishing with 2/30 and Toukley finally dismissed for 140 in the 46 over.
Warnervale set after the runs in a slow fashion, but with a late flurry from Paul Hockley (23), Peter Gafa (18 not out) and Scott Day (9 not out) made 4 for 83.
The game is evenly poised and Warnervale should be able to chase down the remaining runs, and then look for an outright victory.
Day One Scorecard
WARNERVALE GET UNLIKELY OUTRIGHT WIN - SEVENTH GRADE
Round Two - Final Result
Seventh grade resumed their match against Toukley at Lakehaven Oval, at 4 for 83 needing a further 58 runs to secure first innings points. The chase got off to a shakey start with Scott Dady (17) adding only 7 to his overnight score before he was bowled, which saw a new club member in Andrew Kent go to the crease and join Pete Gafa (20), who was also out bowled a short time later after adding only 2 to his overnight score. Leigh Peacock was out for a duck and Warnervale were in trouble at 7/102. David Clune joined Andrew Kent (25) and this pair took the score to within 10 runs of victory, before Andrew was out LBW. Gary Clark (3) joined David Clune and these two saw off the Toukley attack to get the winning runs. David Clune (49) then went after the bowling in search of quick runs with last man Bernie Sharkey (9 not out). When David was bowled, Warnervale (191)had a lead of 51.
Batting a second time Toukley (91all out) were soon in trouble and with some tight accurate bowling Bernie Sharkey (5/27) and Jamie Peacock (2/28) dismantled the Toukley batting. The highlight though has to be the outstanding catch of Scott Dady at short cover.
This left Warnervale to chase 41 for outright victory, which was done on the back of Les Lear (21 not out). Paul Hockley (13) and Pete Gafa (8). Scott Dady, however, did finish the day with the honour of the clubs first diamond duck.
Well played the Cats.

Playing Mountains at Mt. Penang, David Blacklaby won the toss and asked Mountains to bat. Mat McNair (2/12) with his left arm medium fast deliveries soon had the Wildcats in a stong position, with only his third delivery he bowled the opener for a duck. David Powell (2/6), the veteran English import for Warnervale, complemented McNairs pace with his accurate swing bowling, reducing Mountains to 4 for 54 at the first drinks break.
Dale Dezius was brought into the attack,(bowlers name? -Dezius! Did you say "Jesus"?). No just Dezius. With automatic affect, picking up 3 for 21 and restricting the scoring at the same time. Dave Blackaby (2/14)also entered the attack and mopped up the tailenders.
Eventually Mountains were all out for 118.
Warnervale set after the runs in the remaining overs and were soon in trouble. Opener Greg Knight did not have took look towards his umpiring father Ian for that raised finger, when he was out caught of the third ball. Greg Marshall came and went after one lovelly cover drive. Warnervale 2/10. Oh My.
Other openers name? Dezius! Did you say "Jesus"? No. Just Dezius.
Yes that man again Dale Dezius (67 retired hurt), went on a scoring rampage to rectify the damage with Duncan Woods (24) to put Warnervale on the road to a first innings lead. With Woods dismissal, captain Dave Blackaby (36) strode to the crease to see the team into the safe postion of 4 for 160 at stumps, Dave being dismissed at the end of the day. Go Boys!

Round Three
SEVENTH GRADE RECOVER FROM DROPPED CATCHES
Round Three - Day One
On a beautiful clear day at Ettalong Oval Woy Woy won the toss and decided to bat.
Woy Woy started slowly with Luke Knight striking in the fifth over, bowling both batsman in claiming two wickets. Woy Woy 2-12. Luke picked up another wicket and it was 3-26. However Warnervale were flat in the field and numerous dropped chances allowed the Woy Woy opener Michael Haines more lives than Kitty Cat. Peter Gafa came on and took a spectacular caught and bowled to make it 4-63. Woy Woy consolidated to put the home team at 3- 53 at drinks. Paul Hockley was introduced into the attack and in his seventh over he claimed Woy Woy captain Don Biles for 2, making it 5-84. Michael Haines was finally caught by Scott Dady off Gafa for 63, the score at 6-96. Gafa was on fire and claimed another wicket for 7-107. Luke Knight claimed his fourth wicket courtesy of a calmly taken catch by Gary Clark making the score 8-111. Warnervale were climbing back into the game! James Peacock then took a smart catch at mid off to give Gary Clark his first wicket and Woy Woy were 9-157. Luke Knight then had three overs to claim a “five for”. As usual he was on the money and kept us all waiting until his second last ball of his second spell to take the last wicket, coutesy of a smart catch by Gafa, to give him the impressive figures of 5-36. Woy Woy all out for 161.
After lunch Paul Hockley and Les Lear went out to chase the runs but Lear was bowled in the first over and joined the “duck club”! Warnervale 1-1 in the first over. Andrew Kent and Hockers consolidated and hit some great boundaries before Kent was bowled for 12 with the cats at 2-23 in the eighth over. Gafa then joined Hockers and they put on a solid partnership of 66 before Gafa departed in the 21st over for 24. Cats 3-89. Hockers continued to score freely and he had the Woy Woy field chasing leather to the boundary many times for a well deserved 54. Cats 4-102. Scott Dady hit some nice fours and together with Luke Knight stayed put until stumps with the score at Warnervale 4-116.
Peter Gafa also played well, taking three wickets, two catches and contributing 24 runs.

WARNERVALE HANG ON IN DRAMATIC FINISH
Round Three - Day Two
After heavy overnight rain the skies cleared to allow play on Day 2.
Warnervale steadily added to the score, with Scott Dady scoring freely until Luke Knight was given LBW for 3 in the 38th over. Bernie Sharkey enjoyed his elevation up the order, adding 7 before being bowled. Cats 6-142. Jamie Peacock came to the crease and was bowled for 3 with a swinging ball that moved half a metre, soon to be followed by Gary Clark who was judged LBW for a duck.. Meanwhile, Scott Dady was playing nicely off his legs with fours a plenty. Captain Leigh Peacock came to the crease and after getting off the mark he too was given out LBW for 1. Cats 9-175. Keiran Donohue came to the wicket and soon after Scott Dady scored his maiden fifty runs – well played! Keiran scored 2 before being caught to end the innings at 190 and a lead for the Cats of 29 runs.
Woy Woy Gold started their second innings with a bang, Luke Knight claiming a wicket in his first over. Woy Woy 1-5. The home team then responded, hitting two fours and two sixes in the first four overs. In the third over Scott Dady took a screamer of a catch at short cover off Luke Knight to have Woy Woy 2-7. Knight continued, clean bowling the opener and Woy Woy were 3-36 and reeling. Bernie Sharkey then tempted the batsman to hit out and picked up his first wicket coutesy of a well judged Les Lear catch. Woy Woy 5-53.
Peter Gafa was then introduced into the attack and another wicket soon followed, with Captain Leigh Peacock running and then diving to get to the ball and take a spectacular catch – and the reconstructed shoulder was still intact after the roll! The wickets continued to fall, with Les taking another catch off the “Great White Shark(ey)’s bowling and Paul Hockley picking up a wicket. Jamie Peacock pulled off an amazing stumping off a Gafa spinner to have Woy Woy at 8-81. Hockley picked up another wicket to give him 2-15 and Lear cleaned up the innings, clean bowling the Woy Woy tailender to leave the home side all out for 97. Knighty had picked up 3-15 off 7 overs, Gafa 2-20 off 7 overs, Hockers 2-15 off 5 overs and Bernie “The Great White” Sharkey 2-43 off 10 overs. Les Lear chipped in for 1-4 off 2 overs. A chase for the Cats of 69 off 28 overs!
Warnervale were pumped up, chasing a third straight outright win. However the innings got off to a slow start, with both openers Hockley and Lear gone for 7 a piece and the score at 2-15 after 8. The wickets tumbled in quick succession, and when Scott Dady was given LBW for a duck, we were 5-22 and in trouble! Leigh Peacock’s dismissal brought Gary Clark to the crease and there was hope with the Clark-Kent combination. However “Superman” had decided not to land at Ettalong on this day and Kent was given out LBW for 19, the bright light snuffed out in a dismal innings. Well batted Andrew! With seven overs and two wickets remaining, Warnervale needed 25 runs to secure an outright victory. Donohue came in and got off the mark but was then caught, leaving the cats 9-48. The team cheered on Sharkey and Clark, who both held out with the innings 9-59 at stumps. Warnervale had come so close to an outright victory but at the end of the day were pleased with a first innings win.

EIGHTH GRADE FIGHT BACK TO BE ON TOP
Round Three - Day One
Scores: Warenervale 142 vs Doyalson 8/89
Warnervale lost the toss and were asked to bat first by Doyalson. Dave Blackaby and Greg Knight got Warnervale away to a solid start putting on 45 before a mini collapse. Blackers (23) was the first out to a great outfield catch, next to go was Greg Marshall for one, followed by Greg Knight (12). Warnervale 4 for 48. Dale (don't call me Jesus) Dezius, joined Duncan Woods at the crease and these two were going along nicely untill Woods (19) played a false stroke and was bowled.David Clune was next in and he and Dezius were going along well also untill Clune decided that Dezius (13) (don't call me Jesus) needed to be elsewhere and ran him out, unfortunately no divine intervention was at hand. Jake Nunan playing his first game for the club came in to join David (I'll run anyone out) Clune (19) who was the next to go. Wickets fell regularly, Jake Nunuan (13), Steve Brown (8) and Dave Powell (5) made a few runs and Warnervale were all out 142.
Doyalson new they had a fight on there hands when Dave Blackaby (2/18) with the first ball of the second over clean bowled the opener who didn't offer a shot. He followed that up two balls later with another jaffa bowling the next Doyalson batsmen. Doyalson 2 for 0.
Jake Nunan in his first game got his first wicket when Duncan Woods took a smart catch in the gully. Wickets then fell steadily, Dave Powell again got a vital wicket, David Clune got one as well, but it was the gods who put a rainbow in the sky, surely the sign that, that man Dale Deziuz (2/13) (Yes bowlers name Jesus) was needed and he rightly delivered with two divine wickets.
Warneravle only needed one more wicket to gain the first innings points as Doyalson were short, but not to be.
Go the Cats.

Round Three - Day Two
Lake Haven Oval, now renamed The Swamp, took its first victim of the season, when the eighth grade game was washed out.
Having been on the verge of grabbing the points off Doyalson the game ended in a draw.
Not even with the presence of that man Dezius could we manage a miracle, to allow us a chance of playing.
The ground unfortunately is going to come into play each time a small amount of rain falls on a Thursday or Friday.
Lets hope the CCCA can find a solution at the grounds committee meeting this week.
Well played the CATS.

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY........
You've all heard the rhyme about the rain, but unfortunately it didn't go away long enough for either 7th or 8th grade to get a game started. Meaning both teams play 50 over matches next Saturday.
David (call me Captain Gumboots) Blackaby was most dissapointed not to get on as that man Jesus Dezius was champing at the bit to play against his old club.
However, with no miricale fothcoming, all play was adjourned to The Dam.
Talking of The Dam, it was good to see the efforts of Les Lear and Steve Dady in organising the hanging spot on the side of the hotel for our results board.
Thanks fellas much appreciated. Also a happy 48th birthday wish to the 7th grade captain Leigh Peacock for Saturday. Leroy the target to out score your age has gone up by one, a mere formality I say - happy birthday old fella.

SEVENTH GRADE
WARNERVALE DOMINATE IN ONE DAYER
Warnervale 4/219 vs The Entrance Gold 183
Both teams ventured up to Fred Pinkstone Oval, Peats Ridge after this game was transferred from a muddy Lakehaven Oval.
On a sunny day perfect for cricket The Entrance won the toss and decided to bowl. A perfectly reasonable decision but one which was to prove decisive!
Warnervale got off to a solid start with openers Lear and Brauer resisting the visitors opening attack. Les Lear was solid with Dave Brauer scoring freely. Our openers pushed the score along to 48 before Lear was bowled for 23. That brought Pete Smith to the wicket but with the score at 55 he was bowled for a season first duck.. Peter Gafa then combined well with Brauer to post 105 before Gafa departed, caught for 21. Scott Dady then came to the crease and immediately made an impact, scoring boundaries freely with clever, well placed legside glances. Both batsmen were untroubled, with Brauer marching towards his first century, only to be denied in the second last over of the innings, caught for 94. Scott Dady remained unbeaten with an impressive 55 not out.
It was a very hot afternoon which took its toll on all players. The Entrance batting started disasterously with captain Trevor Perry gone with a third ball duck in the first over! Luke Knight and Warnervale 1-0! The Entrance struggled early and after eight overs were 2-12.Bernie Sharkey claimed three wickets in succession to have the visitors struggling at 4-44. Gafa’s spin then claimed another victim for 5-85. However some big hitting from Lapington brought the scores closer. Despite an expensive first over, Dave Brauer claimed three wickets to push the Cats closer to victory with The Entrance 8-150 after 26 overs. Lapington continued to punish any wayward deliveries, but Gafa and then Lear claimed the final two wickets to ensure another Warnervale win, this time first innings points. Bernie sharkey finished with 3-33, Dave Brauer 3-51 and Peter Gafa 2-52.

WARNERVALE EIGHTH'S WIN IN STYLE
The Entrance Gold - 89 all out vs Warnervale Wildcats 5 for 92.
It was good to be back on the field on Saturday, playing The Entrance Gold in a one day game at Eastern Road after week one was washed out.
Captain Gumboots Blackaby won the toss and put The Entrance into bat. Captain Gumboots himself, slipped off the Wellies and put on his bowling shoes.
David "I'll lead from the front" Blackaby destroyed the opposition by taking four quick wickets. Davids final figures of 6 overs, 2 maidens, 4 wickets for 12 runs, is outstanding bowling in any game let alone a one dayer. However, the surprise packet came from Gary "call me Fuji" Clark (no e), when he was given the new ball by Capt Gumboots and although slightly nervous, Fuji, went on with the job for his captain, taking 3 for 30 off 6 overs, well bowled. Greg "I need to practise" Marshall, showed he can be handy with the ball too and took 2 for 16. Jesus of cause can't stay away and took 1 for none. The Entrance in trouble all out 89.
Warnervale took the bowling apart early, putting on 65 for the first wicket in no time. Paul" I love giving my wicket away" Hockley again got a start and was out for 30. Jesus Dezius was at his usually irresistible and divine boring best scoring 27. We lost quick wickets again, but in the end we won in style.
Well played the CATS.

WARNERVALE RECOVER AFTER POOR BATTING
Warnervale 146 vs Woy Woy 7/78
Round Five - Day One
After the fantasic batting of last week, seventh grade were dissapointing in being all out for only 146. Les Lear and Peter Smith opened the batting and Les Lear was soon out for 1, followed in quick succession by Peter Smith for 4 and Scott Dady for 11, although Scott and Dad Steve put on a quick fire 30 odd, as Steve (Go Toukley!) Dady blazed his way to 44 (including six, sixes). Dave Brauer the hero of last week with the bat fell for 4 and it was left to captain Leigh Peacock to steady the ship with 21. David Clune came to the crease and was slow in getting 15, while doing so saw Bernie Sharkey make 10 and Greg Knight 2. Tim Adams was bowled for no score and that left Luke Knight not out on 8. Very poor batting indeed.
However, cometh the hour cometh the man. Luke Knight and Dave Brauer were fantastic, along with some outstanding fielding.
Scott"don't hit it to me" Dady took another classic catch, this time at point, off Dave Brauers bowling. Luke"I like hitting the stumps"Knight bowled another opener and Warnervale were on there way Woy Woy 2 for 9. Luke 3/13 and Dave Brauer 3/18 off 11 straight overs was just what the captain asked for. Woy Woy were 6 for 32 off 20 overs at last drinks, Pete Smith came on and bowled beautifully and took 1/17 and a couple of tidy overs from Les Lear and Scott Dady finished off the days play. Woy Woy 7/78.

Outstanding batting highlights Day One in 8th Grade
Woy Woy 200 vs Warnervale 0/98.
Round Five - Day One
Woy Woy were asked to bat first by Warnervale captain Dave Blackaby. Playing on Tunkawallin Oval our home ground for the next few rounds, Warnervales attack was lead by veteran English import Dave Powell who bowled beautifully without luck, but struck an early blow in any case, Dave finishing with 1 for 12 off eight overs, well bowled old mate. Meanwhile at the other end the new found express merchant from Kanwal Gary "Fuji" Clark (no e) was taking 2 for 16, bowling Fuji. The middle of the innings was free flowing with runs for Woy Woy and wickets for Warnervale. Dale "Jesus" Dezius 2 for 35 and Matt "I'm your man" McNair 3 for 39 tried to stem the runs with some wickets and Captain Gumboots Blackaby, mopped up the tailenders with 2 for 19. Six dropped catches didn't help our cause and Woy Woy were all out for 200.
In reply Paul " I like getting a start" Hockley 71 not out, and that man, Jesus "I'll be your rock" Dezius 19 not out, batted beautifully to give the Wildcats the perfect start in chasing down the 201 needed for victory. Paul and Dale were asked to be there at stumps by Blackers and they did that to perfection, see what happens if we spend a bit of time at the crease and keep the ball on the ground. Warnervale 0 for 98 at stumps.

Round Five - Day Two
The impossible happened on Saturday at Tunkawallin Oval when eighth grade were able to complete their match against Woy Woy. Can you believe with all the rain, the ground got none.
Warnervale resumed their 1st Innings at 0/98 chasing 201 for first innings points and proceeded to 0/140, when Dale "Jesus" Dezius was out for a divine 31. Andrew"Clark" Kent joined his good mate Paul" I like getting a start" Hockley and having reached 104, Paul was next out and achieved the goal he had set himself at the start of season to become the clubs first century maker. Well batted Hockers - You did get a start. Captain Gumboots Dave Blackaby went to the crease with a mission and proceeded to smash the ball to all parts of the ground. He and "Clark" Kent put on a quickfire 90 odd, before Andrew Kent was out for 47. Blackers finished not out on 51 and Jake Nunan was not out 6. Warnervale 3/258 declared had a lead of 58 on the first innings.
Batting a second time Woy Woy were given a rude shock where Captain Gumboots Blackaby took the "New Ball" and after one over had the figures of 2 for 1. Dave bowled beautifully and continued the rout and finished his first spell with 4 for 20, before ending with 4 for 36. At the other end Matt "I'm your man" McNair and "The English Pro" Dave Powell, couldn't buy a wicket. But in drying up one end for runs, Woy Woy thought they could take on that man Dezius. Yes folks that man "Jesus" Dezius, did it again destroying the batting line up with figures of 5 for 30. Dales first ever 5 wicket haul, in 1,987years of cricket, well bowled Jesus. Jake Nunan was needed to finish off the innings after having been kept out of the attack by Capt. Gumboots due to some humanitarian reason. Jake needed only one delivery for 1 for 0. Woy Woy all out for 117. A lead of 59.
Warnervale had fourteen overs to get the required 60 runs and with little cameo knocks from Hockley 27, Dezius 12 not out and Kent 14 not out. Warnervale cruised to a 9 wicket outright victory with 5 overs to spare.
The win takes Warnervale Eights into third position for the first time this year.

WARNERVALE SEVENTH GRADE IN UPHILL BATTLE
Warnervale 133 all out vs Ettalong 3/90
Kincumber won the toss and decided send Warnervale in to bat on an overcast day at Ettalong Oval.
Warnervale got off to a slow start being 0-8 after 6 overs. Peter Smith was first to go, caught for 8 with the score at 17. Scott Dady came to the crease as an in-form batsman but was soon caught for 1 with the score at 2-18 in the 12th over. Steve Dady came in next and was determined to swing and connect, hitting a four before being bowled for 5. Cats 3-27 and in trouble in the 15th over! Keiran Donohue was promoted up the order and showed grit to stick around with Dave Brauer. Brauer was bowled for 9 and the Cats were 4-27 after 16 overs. Jamie Peacock started well and looked in good touch, combining well with Keiran in running between wickets. Donohue was then bowled for 3 which brought Captain Leigh Peacock to the crease. Both Peacocks were copping plenty of banter and heckling from Kincumber but decided to let their bats do the talking. They put on a quickfire 20 before Jamie was bowled by a swinging ball for 15. Les Lear came in and he and Leigh combined well, hitting 2’s and 4’s to frustrate the eager home team. Just when it looked like they were set, the captain was bowled just before lunch for a gritty 17. The partnership had realised 29 valuable runs. Luke Knight came to the crease and added 39 runs with Les before being bowled for 9. Cats 8-133. Les had pushed the score along with some nice shots around the ground. Bernie Sharkey brought in his huge willow to the crease but he joined the illustrious “Wood Duck” Club, being caught for 0. With Peter Gafa not available today, we were all out at 9-133.
With great rivalry between these two teams, Warnervale were fired up with Luke Knight and Bernie Sharkey on target and taking it up to Kincumber. However the breakthrough didn’t come until the 14th over, when “The Great White Shark(ey)” had Kincumber captain Pat Dell trapped LBW plumb in front for only 8. Kincumber 1-39. The Cats then kept up the pressure which paid of when Dave Brauer was introduced into the attack, taking a brilliant caught and bowled to have Kincumber 2-39. Captain Leigh Peacock then took a high catch off Sharkey to have Kincumber 3 down with no addition to the score. The Cats were hopeful! However Kincumber pushed the score along to 90 without further loss. At stumps Kincumber 3-90.
Warnervale paid the price with inconsistent batting and now face an uphill battle to save the game. However, cricket is a funny game and “she’s not over till the fat lady sings!”
Go the Cats!

It was left to Bernie Sharkey to finish a marathon 29 overs for the figures of 6/49, Scott Dady chipped in with a couple of late wickets, but by then the horse had bolted. Ettalong had a 46 run lead.
Warnervale however saved their worst batting performnace of the year for its second innings, even beening two players down. All out for 71, with only Peter Smith (16) getting a start. Ettalong got the reqiured runs for the outright victory and the Wildcats unbeaten run has come to an end. Bad luck fellas. Have a good Xmas break.

After winning the toss and electing to bat first, Wyong never got a look in, opening the bowling captain David Blackaby 2/11 off 10 overs and Gary "Fuji" Clark 1/29 soon had wickets falling at regular intervals. With the long grass, restricting the scoring and tight bowling from the Wildcats, Wyong fell away with Paul Hockley taking 2/14, Dale "Jesus" Dezius 2/14 and David "The Pres" Clune 1/0. Wyong all out 70 in 32 overs.

In what could only be described as a cricket hiding. Warnervale eighth grade headed towards the competition lead after completing its outright win over Wyong.
Resuming at 6/152 Warnervale batted for another 15 overs before declaring their innings closed.
Dale "Jesus" Dezius (55) completed his half century and Gary Clark (no e) made 27.
In its 2nd innings, Wyong scored freely at about 4 runs an over, as the Warnervale attack took a while to get going, then at 0/38 Dave Blackaby again struck the deceive blow, with Greg Marshall taking an extraordinary catch - remember the Gillespie/Waugh clash in India, well Greg and Rob Gorton did the same, and although having a mild concussion Greg held onto the ball. Fortunately no broken bones either. Paul " I like to get a start" Hockley was brought into the attack and that as they say folks was the game breaker. Bowling his best spell of the season so far Paul bowled a beautiful line and length, troubled all the batsmen and finished with the figures of 7/28. The rest of the bowlers, were a trifle unlucky, a couple of catches that should have been taken weren't, but overall the Wildcats dominated from start to end and thoroughly deserved their win.

LISAROW TOO STRONG IN TOP OF TABLE CLASH
Warnervale 166 lost to Lisarow Black 7/172
At Fred Pinkstone Oval
On a hot and dry day at Fred Pinkstone Oval Warnervale won the toss and decided to bat.
David “Bulldog” Brauer and Pete Smith opened the innings but unfortunately both were out cheaply in the first 5 overs: 2 for 8 with Brauer (0 score) joining the Woodduck Club. Scott Dady and Peter Gafa pushed the runs along before being both bowled for 12 and 14 respectively. Wildcats 4-43! James Peacock came to the wicket and started aggressively. He was joined by Keiran Donohue who hit his first boundary before lobbing a catch, out for 6. Captain Leigh Peacock joined James at the wicket with James hitting strongly with 6 fours before holing out, caught for 34. Steve Dady came to the wicket, out first ball caught and bowled – Golden Duck – for 0. Luke Knight came to the crease before Leigh was caught behind, for 7. Warnervale now 8-87 and in trouble! Les Lear combined well with Luke Knight, both batsmen playing strongly and scoring 5 fours with Les hitting a six! When Lear was bowled for 31 this eighth wicket partnership had realised 79 runs! Bernie Sharkey came to the wicket and was caught for a duck, no addition to the score. Luke Knight had batted well for a personal best this year, 28 not out. Warnervale all out 166.
Lisarow Black started strongly and had added 13 runs before Bernie Sharkey struck in the 3rd over – clean bowled. Both Bernie and Luke Knight toiled strongly before Knight clean bowled one of the openers. However Lisarow continued to bat strongly, picking up both singles and boundaries to stay in control. Brauer and Gafa(2) picked up wickets along the way but Lisarow won the match in the 39th over, scoring 172 runs.
Warnervale fielded well but batting was again our Achilles Heel. We need to bat out the 50 overs and this time needed about another 50 runs on the board.
We now look towards getting back on track against The Entrance White at Halekulani next week. GO THE CATS!

TWO VETERANS SHINE AS EIGHTS TAKE CONTROL
Lisarow Black all out 52 vs Warnervale 7/229.
It was the David Powell and David Clune show at Maidens Brush Oval on Saturday, when the Wildcats dominated from start to finish.
Lisarow batting first were in trouble right at the start. A nasty blow to the face from a Duncan Woods bouncer had one Lisarow opener going to the hosiptal for stiches, while Jake Nunnan struck a real blow dismissing the other opener cheaply, caught behind. As Lisarow tried to consolidate Dave "The Pro" Powell, was brought into the attack, what took place then was just brillant to watch. Dave routed the opposition with beautiful outswing and inswing bowling, combined with subtle changes of pace. Dave's final figures 7 for 13 outstanding. Warnervale chased hard in the field and the pressure from all the bowlers was excellent. Gary "Kanwal Express" Clark and Robert "Flash" Gorton collected the last wickets to have Lisarow all out for 52.
Warnervale set about the run chase with Paul "I like getting a start" Hockley and Richard "The Body" Powell opening, Richard was first to go followed immediately by the "Fruit Extracting Technican" Anthony Rawson. At 2 for 11 David "The Pres" Clune came to wicket and with Hockers the two set about getting the runs with Paul and Dave in full flight the runs started to flow after some good tight bowling and their 50 partnership was on the board after 26 overs. Both batsmen punished any short bowling and with the smaller square boundaries they regularly saved their legs. The partnership had realised 106 when Paul Hockley (60) was out caught. David Clune (93) then took control and smashed the ball to all parts of the ground, a quickfire patrnership of 66 with Duncan Woods (18) came to an end when David was out caught and bowled. Warnervale continued to score well and David Blackaby finished unbeaten on 25. Warnervale 7 for 229 are well in control, having taken first innings points.

Day One Scorecard
WARNERVALE WIN OUTRIGHT AS "CATCHES WIN MATCHES"
Lisarow Black 52 and 84 lost to Warnervale 7 dec 229 outright.
You don't have to go and watch 1st class cricket to see classic catches. Just come and see the Wildcats at play. Eighth grade completed their domination of Lisarow Black, winning, outright by an innings and 91 runs after captain David Blackaby declared the Warnervale innings closed at the prevoius weeks total. Eight of the wickets to fall, were to catches and all of them with a tale. Jake Nunnan grabbed three catches, the first off his own bowling was a ripper down low to his left, the second can only be described as different. Having tossed his cap on the ground (I'll talk to you later Jake about that) Jake positioned himself under the ball with two hands only to change his mind and take it one handed and finally after again throwing his cap on the ground, running in two hands poised, Jake decides on the baseball slide and grabs another, amazing.Rob Gorton took two catches in the gully region, the first diving to his left full stretch, a one hander six inches of the ground, great catch Robby, the second a more regulation catch but still not an easy grab just above shoulder high. Greg Knight showed with no gloves, he can catch, a pearler at first slip, while Rawso showed why picking fruit had made taking catches look easy. A high ball was safely taken and never looked in doubt. Last but not least, Duncan Woods, wicket keeping, has run 50 metres (well 25, well 15 then) to get under a skyed ball and diving has bagged an absolute screamer.
Of course none of this great fielding can happen without the bowlers. Dave Blackaby must have been the one suffering a knock on the head, when he asked David"The Pres" Clune to open the bowling, but "The Pres" answered the call taking 4/17 off 11 overs. Jake Nunnan again bowled well 1/19. Anthony" Former Fruit Extracting Technician" Rawson 2/19 bowled his off spin well, pitching the ball up and getting his rewards. Richard" The Body" Powell 2/12 also bowled well, goes to show what training does and of course "The Pro" Dave Powell 1/6 clean bowled Lisarow's best bat again, second time in the match.
Warnervale played well as a team and thoroughly deserved the win.

SEVENTH GRADE GET BACK ON TRACK
The Entrance White 81 all out vs Warnervale 4 for 63
Warnervale seventh grade got their season back on track against The Entrance White when our bowlers all performed well. Batting first The Entrance were in trouble constantly, Luke Knight (2/17) and Dave Brauer (2/17) opened the bowling and constantly had batsmen playing and missing. Dave Brauer removed the two openers and when Scott Dady (1/9) removed their No.3, Warnervale were in control. Pete Smith and Rob Gorton bowled without luck, but kept runs to a minimum. When Luke Knight removed a couple of middle order players in his second spell, the way was clear for that man "Leaping" Les Lear. Les routed their tail end taking 3/17 and with 2 run outs in the one over, The Entrance were all out for 81.
In reply Warnervale are 4 for 63 and looked like getting the first innings points on day one, but heavy rain forced them off, with 3 overs still to face. Dave Brauer 24 and Les Lear 15 got Warnervale away to a solid start, but wickets started to fall, Scott Dady 4 and James Peacock 3 fell cheaply and it was left to Peter Gaffa and Pete Smith both not out 7 to see us to stumps.

Day One Scorecard
SEVENTH GRADE MADE TO WORK HARD FOR WIN
The Entrance 81 and 7/96 vs Warnervale 137.
What looks like a comfortable win on paper is not what happened on Day Two of the match against The Entrance White. Resuming at 4 for 63 and only 19 runs away from a 1st innings win, Warnervale collapsed to be within one wicket of defeat.
At nine wickets down Peter Gaffa (7), Peter Smith (12), Leigh Peacock (7), Keiran Donahue (0) and Robert Gorton (0) were back in the pavilion with only Steve"I'm No.1" Dady and Luke "I feel better now" Knight at the crease. After limping over the line, the last two put on a partnership that yielded a lead of 56 runs.
Batting a second time The Entrance White took no risks and at the end of play were 7 for 96. Warnervale's bowlers were again steady and persistent as usual. With Luke Knight leading the way as always 2/19, Scott Dady, Pet Gaffa, Kieran Donahue, Peter Smith and James Peacock all taking one wicket each.
A good win non the less against the team coming third.

WARNERVALE EIGHTHS FACE RUN CHASE
Terrigal 221 all out vs Warnervale 0 for 20
Warnervale face their biggest run chase of the season after Terrigal posted a score of 221. After winning the toss "Captain Gumboots" Dave Blackaby asked Terrigal to bat first in overcast conditions. Play had only just started when the drizzling rain that was to stay all day and turn the ball into a cake of soap started.
Again Warnervale got off to a good start, Blackers (2/45) got an early wicket, and slowly Warnervale applied the pressure, to have Terrigal struggling at 4/46 off 20 overs at the first drinks break. David Clune (3/55) and Dave "The Pro" Powell (3/35), contributed with wickets but Terrigal were fighting and their middle order batsmen G.Archer played a lone hand scoring 123. A wicket a piece to Damien Thompson (1/35) and Anthony Rawson (1/4) finally ended Terrigals fight. The catches that won us the match last week alluded us this week however, dropping 5.
Warnervale in reply made 20 runs with out loss. David Blackaby and Paul Hockley will resume the run chase next week.

WARNERVALE EIGHTHS WIN AND CEMENT A SPOT FOR SEMIS.
Terrigal 220 vs Warnervale 4 for 223.
Warnervale cemented their place in the top two by defeating third place Terrigal at Tunkawallin Oval. Resuming at 0/20, "Captain Gumboots" Dave Blackaby and Paul "I want to bat like Dezius" Hockley continued on their way to a near new opening wicket stand. Dave and Paul complemented each other beautifully, Dave the aggressor and Paul the slow steady hand at the other end. At the first drinks break Warnervale were 0/84 and in control. After the break the runs continued until Dave Blackaby was out for 85, the partnership had realised 132. Duncan"I can bat" Woods was out in the next few overs for no score and Paul Hockley was out as well for 36. At 3 for 142, Warnervale needed a steady partnership, and it came from Greg "The Big Man" Knight and Gary" Fuji" Clark. Greg and Gary pushed the ball around running one's, two's and three's as boundaries were difficult to come by on a slow outfield. At the final drinks break Warnervale were 3 for 201. Gary Clark was out for a well made 18 with the score on 212, leaving Greg and David "The Pres" Clune to get the final runs. Greg Knight got the lot, remaining 63 not out, a top innings from the big fella and David Clune not out 0.
Well played fellas. Probably our best win to date.

WARNERVALE SEVENS HAVE A DAY OUT IN THE FIELD
The Entrance Blue 118 all out vs Warnervale 0/13
Seventh grade put on their best fielding performance of the year according to captain Leigh Peacock. Winning the toss and sending The Entrance into bat at Tunkawallin Oval, Warnervale were in control from the start. Early wickets and a slowish outfield kept the pressure on the opposition all day. Luke" Carl" Knight (2/20) off 14 overs and Bernie"The Shark" Sharkey (2/30) off 17 overs got the early break throughs and with all the bowlers keeping it "tight", wickets fell regularly. Peter Gafa (1/2), Scott Day (2/7) Les Lear (2/26) off 15 overs and Keiran Donohue (1/2) all bowled well and deserved their wickets. The fielding and catching that supported the bowlers was equally outstanding. Scott"Don't hit to me" Dady took a couple of nice catches as usual, as did Keiran Donohue, who now has the classic catch for the year, just about parcelled up. A running catch, with the ball coming over his shoulder and going away from him, Kerian has at full stretch held on to it. Ssssuperrrrr Catch!!!!.
In reply Warnervale faced 10 overs and had reached 0/13 at stumps. Dave Brauer not out 6 and Les Lear not out 5.

EIGHTH'S DOMINATE IN TOP OF TABLE CLASH
The Entrance Blue 125 vs Warnervale 127
The top two teams in eighth grade faced each other at Eastern Road. Warnervale won the toss and asked The Entrance to bat first. Warnervales opening bowlers, found it hard to break through the opening partnership. When David Clune (1/23) came on as first change Warnervale got their first wicket, but The Entrance dug in and were still only one down for 52 at first drinks. A complete change came over the game shortly after, when Paul Hockley (2/15) and Dale Dezius (2/34) were introduced into the attack. Paul got rid of a stubborn opener and Dale got two quick wickets and all of a sudden the momentum changed. When Hockers got their hard hitting danger man, Greg Marshall was given the ball and he bowled a great spell of spin bowling to grab 3/13. Blackers returned and mopped up the tail to finish with (2/12).
Warnervales run chase needed a solid start and Dale Dezius and Paul Hockley did the business. Hockers was the first to fall for 36, in a partnership of 84. Andrew Kent joined the duck club, out without scoring and Richard Powell also fell for no score. David Clune joined Dale and this pair saw the score along to 3/126.

WARNERVALE SEVENTH GRADE IN TROUBLE
Warnervale 105 vs Wyong 1/53
Playing on Kanwal Oval not mowed because of the rain for two weeks, meant that
batting first was not what you wanted. Leigh Peacock unfotunately called heads not
tails.
Dave Brauer (19) and Les Lear (2) batted for seventeen overs, so you can see how
slow it was. After seeing off the new ball, the rest of the batsmen should of done
better, Jamie Peacock being the exception making 31not out. Peter Smith (0)and David
Clune (7) both played similar shots and were bowled, Scott Dady (14) got a start,
but was caught. Luke Knight (5) was batting well until he too was bowled. Steve Dady
(4) was looking good until he took on the wrong bloke, and was run out. Leigh
Peacock (4) was bowled, Keiran Donohue (0) was out LBW and Bernie Sharkey (3) was
our last man out. 105 in 59 overs very slow going.
Wyong in reply, ran well between wickets and with a couple of sixes had reached 1
for 53 off 21 overs, so still a slow run rate, Luke Knight bowled a brillant opening
spell, unlucky not to have a wicket or two. 7 overs 0/10 well bowled Luke and Bernie
Sharkey "legend" 10 overs 1 for 27.
This games not over yet and Warnervale with a couple of early wickets are in the hunt.

WARNERVALE FIGHT TO THE END
Warnervale 105 lost to Wyong 174 all out.
Warnervale seventh grade didn't give in without a fight on Saturday at Kanwal Oval. Wyong resumed their first innings at 1 for 53 and struggled to get on top of the bowling. A run out in the fourth over was just the start the Cats needed, but a couple of missed opportunities let Wyong off the hook. The next wicket to fall through the courtesy of Bernie Sharkey (3/75), saw a mini collapse, Bernie got another one, Luke Knight (1/24) got one and so did Dave Brauer (2/32) and Wyong were 5 for 86. But Wyong steady, enough to get over the line, another wicket fell to Dave Brauer and Wyong were 6 for 104. After drinks, Wyong hit out losing their last four wickets for seventy runs. Les Lear (1/13) bowled without luck and Kieran Donohue (2/14) cleaned up the tail.
Next weeks game is a must win game for seventh grade to make the finals.

EIGHTH GRADE DOMINATE DAY ONE AND WIN ALREADY
Wyong Green 60 and 1/42 vs Warnervale 3 dec 106.
Playing at Maurie Breen Oval, David Blackaby won the toss and sent Wyong Green in to
bat. David Blackaby (3/7) and Gary"Fuji" Clark (3/18) opened the bowling and ripped
the top order apart. Wyong slumping to 6 for 12 at one stage. Paul Hockley was
expensive (2/21) and with a run out, Wyong playing a man short were all out in 23
overs for 60.
Warnervale's innings was steady and purposeful Paul"I love getting a start" Hockley
was out for 11, Greg "Big Man" Knight (12) was back after a rest, a solid start.
Andrew"I refuse to make fifty" Kent (47) was a delight to watch as was Damien
Thompson (28 not out), who'll take his hat off to anyone it would seem. Declaring
with a lead of 46 runs Blackers went for the early kill, but Wyong in their second
innings after losing a wicket in the first over, shut up shop as they say and were 1
for 42 at stumps.
A 1st innings win for the cats, hopefully an outright next week.

WARNERVALE FINISH IN STYLE FOR OUTRIGHT WIN
Wyong 60 & 152 lost to Warnervale 3 dec 106 & 3/116 outright.
Wyong put up a brave fight, but were unable to stop Warnervale's strong finish. Resuming at 1/42 in their second innings Wyong lost an early wicket when captain David"Gumboots" Blackaby (2/28) struck in the first over. However a couple of dropped catches let Wyong off the hook and they played well to reach the tea break at 6/148 a lead of 102 and the possibilty of only loosing on first innings, with only 33 overs left. Dale "Jesus" Dezius (1/28) had got their danger man, Paul"I love my wife"Hockley (1/16) bowled tightly as did Rawso and Duncan Woods (3/13) was bowling with pace and accuracy . But after tea the game changed completely. Greg "Big Man" Knight (3/13) and Duncan Woods ripped the tail apart and Wyong were all out for 152.
Warnervale needed 107 to win outright in 26 overs. Blackers (24) and Greg Knight (32) got us off to a flyer. 0 for 33 off 4 overs, it was game over from there, Duncan Woods (32) showed, finally, what he is capable of with the bat and can claim he is an allrounder when he puts his mind to it. Andrew"I will get a 50" Kent, was not out 10 and Hockers not out 7. Warnervale had won with 7 wickets to spare and 4 overs.

WARNERVALE SEVENTH GRADE STILL A CHANCE
Warnervale 153 all out vs Gosford 0/7
Warnervale seventh grade again had to put up with a ground not mowed due to the rain. With an obvious disadvantage to the team batting first, Gosford won the toss and asked Warnervale to bat. David "The Brauer Power" and "Leaping" Les Lear opened the batting and again saw the new ball off. The first wicket going down in the 18th over, when Dave Brauer (11) was out, how slow you ask. David Blackaby playing in seventh grade due to the injury to Luke "Corey" Knight, thanks Pops, nice steps, came in and made 14, while Les (19) was still going well.
Peter "Woody" Smith following on from his baseball day out, finally got going again and made 36. Scott Dady (0) and Pete Gaffa (3) couldn't get going and it was the Peacock show again, with Jamie (39) and Leigh (11) putting Warnervale into a good position until they were both out. Steve" 52x" Dady (2), Bernie "The Legend" Sharkey (0) and Rob Gorton (4 not out), couldn't push the score along and Warnervale were all out 153.
Warnervale had to bowl 8 overs and Gosford finished at 0 wicket for 7.
Warnervale are still in this match and a win will give them a shot at the semis.

WARNERVALE SEVENTH GRADE JUST MISS SEMIS.
Warnervale 157 lost to Gosford 5/174.
Warnervale just fell short of the semi finals after being in the top four, for, nine rounds. Needing a first innings win, it wasn't to be. Leigh Peacock and the boys fought hard against a good Gosford side. Bernie Sharkey 1/29 and Dave Brauer 1/31 got Warnervale off to a good start, and all the bowlers at times looked like putting Gosford in trouble. Peter Smith 2/29 and Scott dady 1/19 were the pick of the bowlers. The outfield had been mowed and was a lot faster than last week, so Warnervale needed those extra runs that they were unable to get due to the outfield.
Five wins, Four losses and 2 draws was the teams season result.
Well played fellas, you did Warnervale proud.

THE PRES AND THE PRO PUT WARNERVALE EIGHTS ON TOP
Gosford 147 all out vs Warnervale 0/28
Dale"Jesus" Dezius deputising as captain since David "Captain Gumboots" Blackaby was needed in seventh grade, won the toss and sent Gosford into bat. David "The Pro" Powell (3/28) was given the new ball and got an early break through rattling the furniture. Gary "Fugi" Clark (0/17) opened at the other end and was unlucky not to get a wicket. Paul "I love my wife" Hockley (0/15) also bowled without luck.
Warnervale fortunes changed when David "The Pres" Clune (5/24) was given the ball. David broke through the top order by taking two quick wickets and at drinks Gosford were 3 for 38. After drinks another wicket to David had Gosford 4 for 42, but then Gosford got a partnership going, Dale "Jesus" Dezius (0/14) and Greg "Big Man" Knight (0/15) bowled well, but with out luck and eventually it was Anthony "Ex Fruit Extracting Technician" Rawson (1/28) who came on and got the vital wicket.
At tea Gosford 5/110 off 46 overs. After tea, "The Pres" David Clune was brought back on and got the key wicket of their opener and followed that up with one more for this first five wicket haul for the club. "The Pro" was brought back on as well and mopped up the tail, as well as combining in a run out. Gosford all out 147 after 63 overs. Warnervale had taken 5 for 37 in 17 overs, well played fellas. This report would not be filed correctly without mentioning the outstanding keeping performance of Andrew" I'm bleeding to death in my eyes" Kent. Not since the great Rod "Iron Gloves" Marsh has a man put so many balls on the ground. The batsmen who he did catch was just unlucky.
Warnervale's run chase started without incident and although offering one chance Paul Hockley is not out 14 and Dale Dezius is not out 7.

WARNERVALE REACH FIRST GRAND FINAL IN EIGHTH GRADE
Major Semi Final: The Entrance Blue 133 lost to Warnervale 1/135.
The Entrance Blue won the toss and elected to bat first on Saturday. David "Capt. Gumboots" Blackaby (3/29) got the first breakthrough bowling their opener when the score was 16. Scoring was extremely slow on a lush grass covering that made boundaries rare. The Entrance were building a partnership when Dale"Jesus"Dezius (3/27) got the next wicket at 79. From there Warnervale ripped into The Entrance batting line up. David"The Pres"Clune (3/20) and Dale with the seventh grade cheer squad behind them, dismantled the middle order grabbing 6 wickets for 21 to leave The Entrance at 7/100. Dave Blackaby and Greg"Big Man" Knight (1/29), who bowled without luck early, got rid of the tailenders and The Entrance were all out 133, off 57 overs. Warnervale's high standard of fielding once again kept the pressure on The Entrance all the times and Andrew"Call me Bacchus"Kent was brilliant behind the stumps, stumping two batsmen, dropping one, but saving many byes by putting his body on the line.
Warnervale batted for 23 overs on Saturday and reached 0/27. Paul"I can get a start" Hockley and Dale"Jesus" Dezius were the not out openers and looking forward to Sunday.
Paul and Dale resumed on Sunday and batted beautifully. Needing only two runs an over for victory, the boys took no risks.
Finally they were able to get Dale to nick one and he was out caught behind for 10, with the score on 40. Andrew"Bacchus" Kent then joined his good mate Hockers and the two relived boyhood times, as they batted Warnervale to victory, Hockers not out 75 and Andrew not out 28.
What a victory! The Wildcats cricket club in a grand final in their first year.

BLACKABY'S 12 WICKETS, BOWLS WARNERVALE TO
FIRST CRICKET CLUB PREMIERSHIP.
Doyalson 61 & 137 lost to Warnervale 2/200 outright by an innings and 2 runs.
Day One
Captain "Gumboots"David Blackaby has set records that will stand the test of time, as he bowled his team to victory on Day One and Day Two of the 8th Grade Central Coast Cricket Association Grand Final.
Doyalson having won the toss and elected to bat could not have imagined what was to unfold in front of them. The Doyalson openers had seen six overs go when Blackers started his fourth over. With the score on 12 David had the opposition captain caught brilliantly at first slip by Greg"Big Man" Knight, Doyalson (1/12), with his next delivery David again struck and Doyalson were 2/12, a maiden over from Greg Knight the other opening bowler and Blackers started his 5th over. With his second delivery he shattered the stumps again and Doyalson were 3/12 a wide with his fifth ball was followed by another searing yorker and Doyalson were 4/13. Another maiden over from Knight and Blackaby started his sixth over, off the third ball the Doyalson batsmen hit the ball to mid off and attempted a run, only to have Anthony "The former fruit extracting technician" Rawson picking up and throwing the stumps down Doyalson 5/13. Greg Knight bowled his final over and finished with 0/11 off six overs. Blackabys seventh over didn't produce a wicket and David "The Pro" Powell was given the ball replacing Greg Knight. Blackabys eighth over saw what can only be described as the catch of the year, with Andrew "Call me Bacchus" Kent keeping, he launched himself to his left and while in mid air some four feet off the ground caught the ball between first and second slip. The official umpire saying "he had only seen the likes of it from Gilchrist or Healy", what high praise. Doyalson 6/22. A partnership of 14 was broken when David "The Pres" Clune took a skyed ball catch off Blackers in his ninth over and Doyalson were 7/36, a couple of high scoring overs saw Doyalson get to 61 however, when Blackaby got his seventh wicket in his tenth over and Doyalson were 8/61 and the first drinks break was needed to take it all in. On resuming David Blackaby finished the innings off with the last two wickets, his final figures 11 overs, 4 maidens, 9 for 23. Doyalson all out 61. Amazing!
Warnervale's openers Paul "I can bat" Hockley and Dale"Jesus" Dezius set about chasing the runs steadily. With Dale unfortunately breaking his toe, runs were slow in coming, but Dale (11) toughed it out and was caught behind with the score at 53. At 3.37pm Warnervale passed the Doyalson score with Paul Hockley at the wicket with his great mate Andrew" Call me Bacchus" Kent. These two batsmen saw the final overs out for the day and Warnervale were 1/128, with Hockley not out 80 and Kent not out 20.
Day Two
Resuming their partnership, Hockley and Kent were scoring at 3.5 runs per over. Pau l"I can bat" Hockley scored the first century for Warnervale in a final and finally his innings came to an end with his score on 108 and the team on 184. Greg' Big Man"Knight joined Andrew at the crease and finally Andrew " I will make a 50" Kent did just that, off the last ball of the 80th over. Andrew not out 53 and Greg not out 8. Warnervale 2/200 off 80 overs.
A lead of 139 runs.
Doyalson wanted to keep going, and so Warnervale had the opportunity to win outright, by bowling them out again.
Doyalson this time put up some resistance and the score had got to 40 before the first wicket fell, when the opener was run out. But when Greg Knight (3/10) got in on the act with David"The Pres" Clune (1/28) they cut through the top order and Doyalson were again in trouble at 5 for 74.
Dave "The Pro" Powell (0/13) and Anthony Rawson (0/24) bowl without luck. However Richard"Son of Pro" Powell (2/14) was brilliant and Doyalson were 7/100 still needing 40 to make Warnervale bat again. Doyalson then put on 33 and it was that man Blackaby again. David came onto bowl and proceeded to take 3 for 3 including two wickets with his first two balls, meaning he took a hat trick, the first for Warnervale.
Doyalson all out 137.
Warnervale PREMIERS of eighth grade.
Outstanding performances:
David Blackaby 9/23 and 3/3 (10 wickets in a match)and( Hat trick)
first ones in clubs history.
Paul Hockley 108. (Century in a final)
first in club history.
Andrew Kent 53 not out.

History was made on the weekend when Warnervale Cricket Club
won its inaugural premiership.
David Blackaby bowled his team to victory, by taking 12 wickets in the match.
Paul Hockley scored a century
as THE CATS, destroyed Doyalson in the 8th grade grand final.
See Match Reports for details.
DAVID BLACKABY
CCCA EIGHTH GRADE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
The Central Coast Cricket Association has just advised that David Blackaby has won the Eighth Grade Player of the Year Award.
David's performances through the 11 rounds of the competition saw him emerge nearly 200 points clear of the runner up. Given he did not play the last round, his performance is even more meritorious.
On behalf of the club executive and all the wildcats families, congratulations David, and well done on leading your side to the grand final and winning the first premiership for our club, your performance there highlighted how well you played.
WARNERVALE MAKE FIRST GRAND FINAL
Eighth grade won the major semi final against The Entrance on last weekend Warnervale 1/135 vs The Entrance 133. They will now play in the Grand Final on the 29th and 30th March at Austin Butler Oval, Oval Rd. Woy Woy. Play commences at 12.00pm on both days.
See Match Reports for the match summary.
WARNERVALE WIN INAUGURAL CRAIG PURCELL TROPHY
Warnervale Cricket Club won the Craig Purcell Trophy against Wyong on Saturday. Wyong were successful in seventh grade winning on first innings, however, Warnervale's eighth grade won outright, thus giving them the trophy. Wyong hosted the presentation ceremony at the Wyong Leagues club, which saw members of the Purcell family attend as well as Richard Byles, President of the Wyong Leagues Club.
Richard Byles said "he was delighted that Warnervale Cricket Club had started and thought that it was of great importance that neighbouring clubs co exist and that this annual trophy was a means of achieving that. He also gave an undertaking that the Leagues Club would, help the Warnervale Cricket Club financially, as part of its local community support program."
Greg Tunn, the Wyong president said "in the years to come he hoped that the two clubs saw the Craig Purcell trophy as a significant match and that both clubs took it upon themselves to embrace it."
In accepting the trophy on behalf of the Warnervale Club, president David Clune said "that our club now had a history, and that it is important that Warnervale develops a culture and a history that will entice players to come and play for Warnervale". He thanked the Purcell family for allowing the trophy to be named after their son and said "that both clubs had a family style culture and therefore the trophy fitted well with both clubs".
CRICKET VS BASEBALL SOCIAL - A BIG HIT
The much awaited Wyong "Wildcats" Baseball vs Warnervale "Wildcats" Cricket day was
held last Sunday at Blue Haven Oval. What a fantastic day! Everyone who was there
have said what a great day was had by all. It is now an annual event. The baseball
guys were amazing, boy can they hit a ball. The biggest six, that will be talked
about for a long time saw Kyle Butler win the batting trophy. The baseballers batted
first and scored 206 off their 30 overs, not bad fellas.
Dale" Jesus" Dezius won the bowling award, god only knows how. As he always does.
Chasing this massive score Warnervale were in trouble, until Leigh Peacock and
Keiren Donohue saved our bacon. Eventually, the tieing runs were scored by
Max"Little Fuji" Clark.
Yes folks - an honourable draw.
The fielding award was won by the baseball team. A running catch one handed with
stubbie in left hand, not a drop of amber spilt - Super Catch.
The BBQ was great, the beers even better.
The friendships that have started will last even longer.
Be there next year.
PRESENTATION NIGHT TICKETS ON SALE NEXT WEEK
Tickets to the clubs first Presentation/Ladies Night to be held Saturday 3rd May will be on sale next week. $40.00 per head, pay for our own drinks. Venue is the Whallara Bay Recreation Club. See committee members for details.
GOLD GOLD GOLD
Congratulations to James Dezius, son of Dale"Jesus" Dezius on winning five gold medals and a silver medal at the NSW Country Regional Swimming Championships at Cootamundra. James, swimming for the Mingara Aquatics team was outstanding and Dad said "he gets all his ability off Carol". Well done James on a fine effort, shame you're not swimming as a Wildcat.
Granpa Simpson at Gwandalan
Our loyal president was seen at the 8th grade home game modelling his underwear (pure white cotton undies) in front of the entire team. Mr President stood with his trousers around his ankles admiring the purity of his cricket jocks - this has caused some of our younger players to require counselling. Mr president thought he looked quiet dashing however he was brought back down to earth when the skipper said "Cluney pull your pants up you look like Granpa Simpson". You can rest assured knowing that Pat rafter is safe in his Bonds commercials.
WARNERVALE CRICKET BECOME GOOD SPORTS ON THE COAST
We are very pleased and proud to announce that Warnervale Wildcats are one of the first sporting
clubs on the Central Coast to gain Level 1 accreditation into the Australian Drug Foundation’s Good
Sports program.
The Good Sports program is aimed at responsible alcohol management practices within the club.
The implementation of the Good Sports principles and guidelines will lead to better management of
alcohol issues and therefore contribute to one of our major goals of being a family friendly club and
at the same time promote the social aspects of the Wildcats.
Community attitudes to alcohol have changed. Sporting clubs are now expected to show a duty of
care for their members, or they face greater risks of legal action being taken as a result of alcohol related
incidents.
The program is not about trying to 'dry up' clubs. It aims to help clubs implement responsible
alcohol management practices.
We encourage everyone to go and get their RAS (Responsible Serving of Alcohol) accreditation and
assist the club in our Good Sports program.
The RSA course helps not only club bar staff, but club committee members, players and supporters
understand the legal and social requirements of the club liquor license. Having RSA trained people
will also help our club adhere to a duty of care which is expected from venues serving alcohol.
For more information, go to the Good Sports website at:

HOCKLEY SAVED BY VET
Dave "The Pro" Powell let slip his real job as a vet. Lucky for Hockers, Dave diagnosed the cough of Hockers was not related to smoking but in fact was a furball. Well done Dave.
LEGO ANNOUNCE NEW PIECE FOR CRICKET
David Blackaby was given the honour of naming Legos first new piece in 10 years.
Blackers was heard to say when one of the team answered back on Saturday.
"youv'e got more exuses than a Lego set"!
What the?
Lego have declined to say what the "excuse piece" looks like.
PRESIDENT BANNED FROM COOKING
The Presidents bbq cooking skills are ordinary. Lucky you didn't go the other week to his place. Charcoal sausages and patties. Blackers was again blamed for distracting The Pres, from his duties. If you need something to mark your guard ask Cluney for a sausage.
STANDING ON YOUR OWN TWO FEET
Damien Thompsons wife will wish he does sometime next week. The big man was on the ground more times than on his two feet at Tunkawalin last week. Good to see the big fella, was committed to fielding in his first game and well done on his first wicket.
ALL MEN BACK ON DECK - ARE YOU AVAILABLE???????
Please let Leroy and Blackers know if you're unavailable from now until the semis.
WYONG BASEBALL WILDCATS vs WARNERVALE WILDCATS
This is now on Sunday 17th February at Blue Haven Oval. Our sponsors day will be this day. We are inviting them to play. 15 a side. Everyone gets two overs. Everyone gets a bat.
NAMING RIGHTS
It has been brought to my attention that Dale"Jesus" Dezius our much loved and treasured player, may also respond to the following name - "Daley Francis", this however may cause you some discomfort should Carol, wife of the much loved Daley Francis find out you called him that. Carol has claimed naming rights and intellectual property. Isn't love grand or in Dales case heavenly.
HSC RESULTS
Congratulations to all our HSC students. The results are outstanding. Especially Tim Adams who scored 94, we are told by a reliable source that Tim deserved every mark he got. All the guys I believe got the marks they needed for entry into courses they want to do.
PRESIDENTS CHRISTMAS MESSAGE
On behalf of the executive committee, I'd like to wish all the players and their families a very Happy Xmas and New Year. I think you'll all agree we have done extremely well. Thanks to the wives, Mums and girlfriends for making the afternoon teas a highlight so far, and thanks to everyone who is making our job very enjoyable. Have a safe Xmas, see you for training on the 3rd January 2008.
WARNERVALE TOPS THE TABLES IN SEVENTH and EIGHTH GRADE.
Warnervale Cricket has gone to the top of the cricket tables in seventh and eighth grade after the completion of Round 6. What an amazing start to the season for a club which is in its first year. All the players are contributing and the club spirit is sensational both on and off the field. Lets hope the Xmas break doesn't effect our performances.
TRIP TO SYDNEY 20/20 MATCH NSW V QLD - DAY NIGHT
We have secured 18 tickets to this match. A bus is being organised as well. $20.00* a ticket and bus ride would be good value. Call Steve Dady asap and book your spot. * Price subject to cost of bus.
BRIAN TABER ON THE LOOKOUT FOR PATRON
Former Australian and NSW wicketkeeper Brian Taber has suggested the club may look for a Patron who can have a more hands on role with the club. Dave Gilbert CEO NSWCA contacted Brian on our behalf, and was delighted to be thought of for the role, but said "he just wouldn,t have the time at present to do the club justice". Brian thought guys like Peter Taylor or Ross Turner may be more suitable and would contact them to see if they were interested.
CRAIG PURCELL TROPHY
Warnervale and Wyong Cricket Clubs have agreed to name the perpetual trophy between the two clubs after Craig Purcell. The Purcell family are delighted to know that Craig will be long remembered in the district by this trophy being named after him. Craigs brother Scott is still playing with Wyong. The trophy will be competed for this year in Round 10 the 16th & 23 February. The presentation of the trophy will be held at the Wyong Leagues Club after play on the 23rd.
CLUB PHOTOS
Kate Lusted has agreed to do our photos on the 23rd February, the Round 10 game to coincide with the Craig Purcell Trophy. Kate will do the team photos at the Dam Hotel at 11.00am, so in case it rains they get done. Kate will then go to the grounds and take action shots of both teams.
HAKONE ROAD GROUNDS ON THEIR WAY
The proposed grounds for the Rugby, Cricket and Netball are well on there way now that the plans have gone the development application stage. All being well 1st and 2nd grade cricket will commence in the 2009/2010 season.
CLUBS FIRST CENTURION
Paul Hockley became the clubs first centurion when he scored 104 versus Woy Woy at Tunkawallin Oval on Saturday 1st December. Paul playing in eighth grade, helped the side to an outright win which puts them in the top four for the first time this year.

BBQ AT BUNNINGS
HELPS RAISE MONEY
The club ran the BBQ at Bunnings Lake Haven last Sunday and raised money towards its' equipment expenses for next year. Thanks to all the players who attended and put in some time for the club. These types of events show who are the real supporters of the club and it was good to see an even spread of both grades turn up and not left to a few. We were able to be seen by the public and let them know that we are up and running. We gave the Netball a push as well (no charge Donna) and people said they would look out for the rego.dates.
Thanks to the Rugby club for letting us have the day, we hope you guys have as much if not more success than us.
